Yeah. Actually a lot of insurance companies dropped their policies after multiple pay outs. Even insurance companies can go broke within a short time.
Problem is so many people don't understand how insurance works. It's basically a shared liability system. It only works when a few collect on it. If everyone is collecting, there's simply no money to pay for losses.

What Gavin Newscum wanted was to have the proposition removed from the 2024 ballot because the legislature had passed a bill that would not have taken effect until 2026. He tried and failed in his argument that the proposition wasn't needed because the legislature had passed a bill and he signed it. This bill would have made very little change to the original proposition that the idiots voted for earlier this century.

It is all fine and good until you realize that it costs the taxpayers per year for 1 inmate $23,000 in Arkansas $307,468 in Massachusetts and in 2024, the cost of locking someone up in California hit a new record at $132,860.
The question is how much does a person have to steal to reach $132,860 and is it really worth the cost to the taxpayers to keep them locked up?
I'm not opposed to the law and punishment for criminals, but this bill will probably cost more than it saves and those who are convicted of a felony offense will have a harder time getting a job after they are released making them more likely to commit the same offense.

Somethings just don't need to be in the news 24/7. But, I am glad to see that the citizens stood up and voted to put a stop to this.
