I think the problem with Jahan Dotson last year was, he was one of the players who spoke out about EB being a hard ass. At one point last year they had him holding kicks in practice. Listen to local (DC) team coverage, no one ever said that was the case but that’s my theory.

Vikings fan here, some of, if not most of us, prefer McCarthy to sit for a majority or all of the season to learn and grow. Maybe get in at the end of the year (during this time we hope Darnold balls out because “any rookie would benefit in the O’Connell system” is what we were hearing around the draft).

The GM has talked up building the OL to make it better and I felt like they made that a big focus. They signed OT Jermaine Eluemunor and G Jon Runyan who were I believe were top of their list. Yeah... there wasn't a huge name guy but I believe Eluemunor was the highest rated OT in FA. Idk, will be interesting to see.
I think people are really sleeping on Ezekiel Elliot. If you give him that 72-yard TD run, he would have finished with the following stat line on a bad New England team: 185 carries 714 yards 4 TDs for 3.9 yards per carry. His last year in Dallas Zeke was RB19 on 231 carries 876 yards 12 TDs for 3.8 yards per carry. It should also be noted that Rhamondre Stevenson only had 4.0 Yards per Carry in New England last year, so Elliot was just as efficient as Stevenson if not for one questionable call. I could see Elliot having a very similar season in Dallas with Rico Dowdle taking on the Pollard 2022 role. There is a possibility that Zeke gets an even bigger workload in 2024 than he had in 2023 though. He is going as RB 40 right now.
