When I made this wildcard, I had some ideas on how I wanted a listener to feel, and what parts I thought would hit them and they'd really enjoy. Love your list DLow. Both Wand and Serpent are under 18, which is insane! And are two of my favorite wildcards as well, in both under 18 and the traditional Solo.. Love to see Cloud's track on here, he's so sick. I'm biased because I love the South Korean beatbox scene from top to bottom, but they're all so fire.

It's the classic debate of technical proficiency versus the best song. I'll always go best song, and I think that a focus on technical proficiency over replayability and song quality is what keeps beatbox out of mainstream music when it absolutely deserves a place at the table. I still listen to Stitch's "Feels like Nothing" on the regular. This year it seems to be Osis's second round wildcard. I love the flow and how dark it sounds, and those crazy little glitchy sounds he makes. It sounds like a Trent Reznor remix. I really appreciated this video, as I overlooked a couple of these. Good stuff as always my guy.
I rewatched the cloud one so many time. Had that same bit you started singing stuck in my head for a week. He should have been in, we know he can tear up the stage.
Serpent absolutely unreal, thank you for showcasing that. Based on that alone already one of my favourites. You can’t develop that timing, you’re born with it.

This list just goes to show you that it’s not about crazy sounds or drops. Just good flow, structure, and timing can do it. A lot of people now do too much imo and that’s why Codfish was so popular. He made it easy to listen and Bob your head to and that’s what people love. ❤️

I really liked improver round 2, it had that "something epic is happening/dark yet chill" type vibe. I also can't stop watching Heartzel r2 and ice r1.. sick stuff all around! My top five wildcards in any order would probably be Bizkit round 2, conundrum, serpent, dilip first round, and vahtang. I dont know what it is about conundrums i just love the beat. Bizkits quiet of the night is such a cool track too. Loopstation artists always bring an extra element of sound design to solo beatbox.

If I'm not mistaken, Sashe's special sound is basically a throat kick into a synth, using the size of your mouth and the pitching of the throat kick to create the pitches.
