Components required for joining gasketed pipe include the Plastic Pipe Joiner (PPJ) and V-shaped saddles (PPJVS). Gasketed pipe is found in underground work such as utility work, among other places.
Note: Connections saddles for gasketed pipe (PPJVS) must be purchased separately.
Pro Tip: To minimize friction upon the gasket when putting pieces together, apply Pipe Lubricant thoroughly to the exposed end of the gasket, as well as the spigot end of the pipe and the outer surface of the pipe, as instructed by the manufacturer. Use a cloth, brush, sponge, or glove, leaving no dry spots.
