- A beautiful waltz we found composed by Maire O'Tianaigh from Wexford. We have written a poem for Autumn which we have also called Autumn Flames. The mandolin captures the leaves floating to the ground.
Autumn Flames by Roger and Elizabeth Court
The lullaby of Winter has now begun,
As Autumn turns.
The once green leaves to a red flame
The gentle breeze brings a carpet of boundless fun
Now the Fall has truly come
Autumn flames will in time lead to a spring
Where like the Autumn
Beauty will be as one.
We would like to thank Maire for composing this beautiful tune.
Elizabeth & Roger you are both fired up !
You play this intricate piece of music 🎶 very well indeed.
Always good to see and hear you both play.
Thanks, Greg. A tricky tune. We had to interprete the leaves, twirling and fluttering on the mandolin and imagine the flame of autumn. Also, we wrote a poem about autumn to ho with it.
