This is great! Thank you. I was just starting to figure out the point about looking THROUGH the prompter, but you've articulated the importance of this and explained it really well.
This is so great! What exactly do you mean on looking pass the camera? Talk me like a 2 year old LOL. I've been hosting fitness news segments LIVE going off the top of my head with intros and outs and reporting information. I do practice important information I want to convey even slightly memorized but it all comes out completely conversational, the studio crews were so impressed they kept bringing me back. So now I am covering from working in docs-reailty production over 20 years to on air host/anchor/ reporter. With practice, I know I can do this. I need to book you for a media training session.!!!
Great video, Phil! I purchased the Glide Gear 100, Teleprompter Premium app, and other necessary items. Couple questions before getting started. 1) What is the ideal distance between prompter and subject? 2) Should the prompter be eye level with subject? 3) Lighting. How important is it to have studio LED light(s) behind the prompter? I notice in some of these videos there is sufficient light on the set yet there are light stands behind the camera. 4) Audio. Is it best to use a lapel mic or a shotgun mic to capture best audio? Please advise. Thank you, Jim
VERY informative and concise video Phil. Presentation skills totally there.👌 Now….we’d all love to see videos on YOUR presenting skills ….? Use of eyes/hands/vocal pitch etc was evidently natural.
Thank you for your tips! They are really helpful and inspiring. I bought a teleprompter and tried to read a text on it. Ohoho! It's not so easy as I could imagine before. :))
This is the best vid on this on UA-cam. I watched at least 5 and this is GOLD....Thank you!
That makes me so happy, Nate! Thanks for your very kind words.
I've put the speed off the video to 0.75 😜

Hi, great video! I am having an issue with the camera focusing through the glass. The glass is clean and all that---any thoughts?
What do you recommend for Android
great video Phil, I've order a teleprompter a few days ago, interested to see how it will affect my videos!
Awesome! I can't wait to hear what you think!
Awesome Vid!! For the iPhone app, is it voice controlled, or do we need to use a remote??
Thank you for your tips! They are really helpful and inspiring. I bought a teleprompter and tried to read a text on it. Ohoho! It's not so easy as I could imagine before. :))

Fantastic tips Phil. Look through the teleprompter was my fav.
Awesome! I'm so glad to hear that.
Is there a teleprompter that you recommend? I have a iPad.
Am i the only one who thought that way too fast to read 😂
You'll get better with practice, Evie! :)
Not at all! I’m a teacher and I couldn’t keep up. We will get better with practice - tip 1
Yes. Need to program in some breathes and slow it down
Yes, definitely too fast!!
Whew…. Really fast for me…
All caps is very difficult to read .
How far are you sitting from your iPad? ◡̈
Also, are you using the iPad to film?
Good video, but am I the only one who thinks the script was moving way to fast and not the accurate speed? Might jsut be youtube
Luckily, you can set the speed at whatever is most comfortable for you! I read pretty fast! 😅
This guy seems ok...
