To play music or share video from PC you should turn it on and first who turned on theese things will control them.

If you did it the old way you would have to be in DMs with all of them coordinating this stuff for every single friend (they would have had to create an account, hit their dorm room, find their @username, message that to you, you would have to go to players, search the username, find them, send an invite to them, instruct them on where to find that invite and accept it, then send them an invite to your room, and tell them where to accept that. So it shortens that flow quite a lot for people inviting in new friends). @@RecRoom Yes, And while this is true, You have to take into account how brutally annoying it is to remember codes, then type them in, then for them not to work, then for you to look at it again, And after about a solid 5 minutes of doing this process, You finally get there. People have been complaining about room and friend codes for decades now, And I feel like this type of thing could have been done better
And with that, It is especially true with Oculus quest players, such as myself, Because not only can you not open links in the Oculus chat with friends, It will take astonishingly long to flip between the messages and the game, Just making that entire process even longer, so If you feel like keeping this feature, Make it exclusive to PC and mobile players, It won't have much use in VR

@@KorbsieTheGoober The code is only numbers and letters and currently only 8 digits long like ABCD1234. We think we can get it even shorter in the future, but its quite short already and shouldn't be that hard to remember or reference on a post it note for a few mins
It would be super useful to have a cancel button, just in case you click on the recenter or another room by accident and that way you could prevent accidentally leaving the room lol
Would it be possible to make it so we can schedule a meetup for the future but share the URL before? This would be very handy to make an appointment with a group and have a scheduled location and time but using the Meetup link would be easier than doing the event schedule thing as we would want to keep in private but also have folks able to go in when it's time but have the link earlier (much the way online conference programs are doing it). A colleague and I at the university where we teach have been experimenting with using Rec Room for educational activities in which students in our separate classes can meet virtually together, this sort of functionality (along with the screen/sound sharing) would be incredibly helpful.

The thing about meetups is that the players actually don't have to already be on your friends list :) So its a great way to make friends and meetup with people you know IRL who don't already have an account. If you need to find people to invite there are a lot of people active on our discord.gg/recroom

@@RecRoom but with new oculus quest players your still going have to explain how to make an account and show them how to put in the meet up code since your unable to copy links for the oculus quest. Same thing with console unless your able to send the meetup link via playstation messages. Go into a private room or private room instance, click the 'This Room' button in your watch, click the Meetups tab, send the code to a friend, anyone with the code enters it into the Play > Meetups tab and they all go right to you.
Have considered making a "respawn" button on the watch in case you fall out of the map or if you get stuck?

the link only works on iOS. for Oculus you will have to enter the code in game in Play > Meetups
