When you used that red 4x4 to adjust the text... I just... Look, I've been doing photo editing, and design work since 2008, I mostly do alterations, touch Ups and actual photography. And in all my years I have never seen someone do that, and my mind has blown out of the back of my head. Holy shit, I have always struggled with text alignment (oddly enough why I'm here) and that just. Jesus christ dude, I'm subbing forsure. I hope this channel is still alive.
I have always used raster iamges and creating illustrations for me it is super hard to learn the "vector mindset" but these red "helper" rectangles made so much sense. Never understood before how they mesure so precise in vector images
I dumped Adobe after CS5 and switched to Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher. I like Designer so much better than Illustrator and love tweaking fonts. Your videos are really inspiring and I’m learning so many great techniques by watching your videos. I appreciate your willingness to share - Thank you so much!
Thanks so much Your very direct, knowledgeable and precise I'm launching a clothing brand and don't wanna pay a designer if I don't have to I'm buying Affinity designer today and I'm not looking back
Great tutorial. Can you explain the difference between 'adding' and 'grouping' layers or sublayers please. For example, after converting text to curves you say to ungroup the elements, then add them together
Thanks for the comment, ok so when I add objects together I’m creating a single element that can’t be Un-grouped (easily). Grouping objects allows you to group items move them around together and still un-group later separate the objects to say turn sections in different colours.
I've really appreciated your videos, as I am now making the transition to Affinity Designer from Inkscape. I am curious to know if you have any plans to create a tutorial spot color separation for screen print preparation in Affinity Designer?
Sir as you are experienced in making T-shirts and degsins can you please tell what should we do Should we create simple degsins in large amount? or Should we create extra and creative designs?
@@KeeponCreatingTV There is no scissor tool at the moment. The only way I find the easiest is to add a point at the place you need a cut and use the break curve action.

Don’t forget you can click “scale with object” bottom right in the stroke panel so your stroke will scale correctly when resizing your objects.
Have you found the ‘scissor’ tool? Can’t seem to find where to cut a line in one click…
