It's great to see more interviews again. There are so many talented shooters and makers that this could (and maybe should) become a separate series. Thanks again for all you do for the slingshot community.
We agree and you are very welcome.
Hey, cousin! Good to see you again.
Hoggy is one of the best men on planet Earth. Awesome video
Hands down!
Mike!!!! Hoggy!! Great meeting you at SRSS!! Great video!!
He is a great guy.
DMG is an awesome guy!! Great interview guys!
Thank you.
I'll agree with that Hoggie is one of the nicest guys in the world not just in slingshots!
Yes, he is!
For the kids hitting their thumbs, could be many things but check the draw weight of the individual (left and right) bands. I have a couple sets of SS pre-made bands (0.5mm) where the one band is much stiffer than the other side band. Discovered it because they frame strike like crazy, chipped the tip on my carbon fiber champ 🤬. I was doing everything right but frame striking. While inspecting the bands for damage I noticed one was noticeably harder to draw back than the other. Thinking it was a fluke I got another new in package set from my supplies pack and it’s the same way.
I’ve bought many SS bandsets and they’ve always been awesome. This was surely a rare goof up. I’ll continue to buy their bands but I test them a bit more before using.
Great interview!
Thank you.
Hey Mike!
I do have a potential solution for the dad whose son needs a hand guard.
I saw a little Asain girl slingshot fishing and her dad had what we used to call a "beaver tail" hanging over her hand from her frame. Nothing more than some hard leather hanging
kind of like a big tag.
Thats a great idea!
Just asking whether a slingshot would be a good weapon for self defense but based on what damage it could do to a persons head
We DO NOT recommend a slingshot for self-defense at all.
I have a question not found yet. Does the color of the frame on a sling shot impact sighting, all other things being equal?
Yes, but it is different for each shooter and in different scenarios. The frames that stand out best against the target can help.
Nice vague response without helping which color may may be better contrast. The black & green look cool, but doubt best for aiming. @@simpleshot
It is different for each person as we all perceive color differently and shoot in different areas. Only you will know what the best option is for you.
