Back in the 1990s, I use to go to some parts of the underground tunnels off K Street. You just had to follow the albino cats who made the tunnels their lair. The tunnels were creepy. BTW don't forget to see the bank vault from 1800s which still stands intact in the local parking lot under the highway off K Street.
A guy I knew many years ago worked at the Weinstocks department store ( old Hale's Store) that was the at 9th and K St, and the lower level basement, looked out over the old sidewalk. This was about 46 years ago
There are tunnels from downtown Sacramento to McClellan from Grant to McClellan. There are more tunnels in Sacramento than anybody wants to talk about. There are mines that granite construction and tiger are mining. They’re digging tunnels they’ve been doing it the whole time anyway there are fallout shelters.
