Unfortunately in Greenwood, Lyon and Chase counties all have an over abundance of tweaker. I see a lot of these folks out and around.
And he's got a domestic misdemeanor. You and I agree that he's respectful to an extent, except he was late. Being late doesn't really respect the judge's time. But when an addict has a minor domestic it's because someone is mentally and emotionally abusing him, if not physically as well. He isn't telling the authorities the full story of how they abuse him. Maybe.

My stomach feels sick thinking that i was like this in my 20s. I thought I hid it as well. Im so against d r u g decriminalizing because that is called enabling. Thank God the state of TN didn't put up with my mess. If I was in a decriminalized state id be dead for sure. These people need help.

Having worked in LE I wish I could report the defendant's behavior was an isolated event, but alas I can't. I joke around a lot during videos like this but I also can't help but feel bad for this guy. Until he gets help he is a threat to the community and himself so I hope he wakes up before it's too late.

My cousin was addicted to meth, on and off for 15yrs. I always knew when he started using again. My window blinds would be bent from him
constantly peaking outside all night, while everyone else was in bed. He’d swear ppl were talking outside the house, sometimes he could even tell u what they were saying. SMH
Another giveaway, you’d catch him on his hands and knees combing through the carpet. I avoided talking to him when he was using, besides kicking him out for using drugs in my house. For years I couldn’t ever figure out what the hell he was doing on the floor. One of the times he was doing really good, he told me whenever he was tweaking, he ALWAYS thought he dropped some of his meth on the carpet. He could have a ton of it, yet he’d still spend hours combing through the carpet, looking for a little piece, that he’d never find. Pure Insanity

@@lalabrazil6513 Admittedly if that computer literate Undersheriff hadn't been monitoring the proceedings when that chick in Alaska via Colorado with the tattoo over her eye and hadn't found a way to check her IP address they wouldn't have had a clue that she was 2500 miles from where she claimed to be. The elderly gentleman that usually monitors Judge Webster's proceedings wouldn't have had a clue (nor would 95% of Americans). I used to do consulting work for my local Sheriff's Department, our Undersheriff at the time wouldn't have known to check an IP address or even monitored court proceedings.
I always like watching Gillett smile when she watches these criminals thinking they are fooling people.

The government is supplying most of the drugs so they can fill the for-profit prison system with unfortunate souls who fall prey to addiction. They're "getting the scum off the streets to make the world better for the rest of us".
After several relationships where I found out the person was an addict, has left me with very little patience for addicts. I think they need to start triage type assessment for known addicts and mentally unstable. There needs to be a way to help them and keep the public safe. It takes funding and folks who care about the actual care and not just the money they make off of it.
I agree, being an addict myself, the rehabilitation world has become nothing more than a money maker from rehabs down to maintenance drugs. People need an equal mix of love and understanding but also tough love. Unfortunately at the end of the day an addict will not change their ways until they themselves are ready, you can’t really force people into sobriety
It sucks though because whenever anything remotely helpful for addicts comes to a vote, people go THINK OF THE CHILDREN and vote against it, because people should just pull themselves up by their own bootstraps and just stop being addicted to stuff I guess.
It’s called drug court, or treatment court. Most larger areas have treatment courts. This guy is possibly a candidate for drug court.
If you keep dating addicts, I'd look at the common denominator in all those relationships. Why you driving these men to drugs?
No rehab will do someone like him any good until they are ready to help themselves.

My brother got fired from a good manufacturing job ( with great benefits and seniority) because he went to work high one day and they had a no tolerance policy. I could never understand why he didn't just call in sick that day. His life just spiraled downhill from there.

@@Lori_L he's out of his second stint in prison ( 64 now) and I think he's sober. Cut ties a long time ago due to his treatment of family. To be fair, he wasn't a very good big brother even before the drugs.

The best thing for an addict is to spiral downhill. The worse your life is the more likely you'll want to get better. Let people hit their rock bottom. I understand why families do interventions but the best chance for a good outcome is to let the addict hit bottom. I lost everything including my children before I woke up. Took me 2 years to get clean but I had to lose everything. The people that enabled me probably helped prolong my addiction.

This is completely shocking to me. I was in front of a few judges in my time and we would never DREAM of appearing in court like this COME ON!! 😂 He was tweaking his balls off, he couldn’t put a proper sentence together or sit still for 6 seconds. 😂

I'm very happy that you both clearly never had to struggle with this yourselves or with a beloved family member. If you had you'd understand it's a physical issue with brain chemistry and if you want addicts to have a "no tolerance" policy you better support a no tolerance policy for diabetes, cancer, heart and seizure disorders as well... Cuz it's the same thing. Also don't forget to pull crutches away from anyone with leg issues and burn all wheelchairs as well otherwise you're a hypocrite.
