    At 29:50 he talks about the interplay of math and physics, specifically Morse theory. On the human level he mentions knowing Morse's widow, who is 103 years old at the time. Now, in 2024, Witten's father is still alive, and is now 103.

    Magnetic field fluxes and even electrical also in addition to gluons, quarks etc are strings. How the knot and how they un-knot and the mathematics of primes seems to be at the center of reality, very much observable and verifiable. Nima could prove to be the ultimate hero.

    A problem occurs in the string theory also. What are the strings made out of then? Because they must also be made out of something? Right?

      Energy waves, so we think. And that energy really extends no further, so we think. We believe energy is the base foundation of all matter and time.

    Geniuses can be made. A birth "defect", a bump on the head, adversity, and education (especially self education) can all create a genius.
    A father wanted to prove geniuses can be created instead of just born, he had his daughter learn chess from an early age. She became a world champion and grandmaster. Brain scans showed that because of Neuroplasticity (the ability of a brain to retrain and repair itself) her brain had essentially turned a section of her brain into a video card of sorts. It lit up wildly when she thought about or played chess.
    This is important because up until around the early 2000's everyone had believed incorrectly that you suffer permanent damage to the brain if you do drugs during your growing teen years, that people in their 60's became dumber than people in their 20's. This belief was debunked in a study showing that IQ of elderly people actually depended on one huge factor; self esteem; in other words people who believed they were stupider as they aged had low self esteem. So they had 3 groups and told one group that they get smarter with age, told the 2nd group that they get lower IQ with age, and told the 3rd group nothing. They also used same test on people in their 20's. The result? People in their 60's and 70's who were told nothing ended up with the same scores as those who were told you lose IQ with age! The group that was told they get smarter had a higher self esteem and not only shattered the age old stereotype that the elderly are senile etc. But they also scored higher than people in their 20's! Because older people have something called, "Crystalized Intelligence."
    They have better brain connections, a sort of "wisdom.
    So yeah increase your vocabulary and then increase your conceptualization of the world (continue learning all you can and dont stop)

      gfgf fgff As you get familiar with a topic, your patience grows. If you gave me a text with a single sentence in another language, than I would be forced to translate it for myself. It is really down to how much you enjoy a topic and your familiarity/patience for it.

      Ignoring the last 500 years of physics, I see? Perhaps we should return to the unquantitative explanation of nature using substantial forms in your view? A peripatetic 'till death? Reminder that scientists like Kepler and Galileo used even more seemingly outlandish jumps, appealing to il lume naturale. Prediction from rationally satisfying models has always had a place in physics.
