Actually, old style beds are better. They would have a wood frame with rope suspension, which while not great is at least supposrtive. You would sometimes have to tighten the ropes or they would sag, thus bearing th phrase "sleep tight."
This is probably actually true. I doubt our medieval cousins were smart enough to put feathers or wool for some kind of mattress, so with the numerous amount of spinning jennys and unpaid labor, woven cloth from cotton and wool, built up with wood frames were used for a bed. More of a hammock, but still, they didn’t have anything but rusty iron tools and thought the Earth was flat.

Lol. Where I live, in the rainy season, literally millions of mosquitoes decide to come visit. Sleeping is like the worst because there are like 15 mosquitoes on your body every second. 2 years ago it became so bad that I would get an average of 3 hours of sleep. And I would keep on waking up in the night scratching. It was hot, itchy and just unbearable. In the morning when I woke up my skin would legit be bumpy everywhere. It is better now tho. I don't know why I wrote this.
Dude you joke I have it and it’s not very severe anymore I just get a slightly painful rash if it’s cold I used to have it so bad I had to use special soap that didn’t dry my skin and I had to put a lotion over my whole body every morning and night
I feel your pain. I've suffered from severe eczema too. It's been so severe that my lymph nodes became enlarged and I would get severe muscle cramps EVERYWHERE. Thankfully I have found a great dermatologist who fought hard with my insurance to get them to approve Narrow Band UVB light therapy. It's a real life saver. Has anyone recommended this for you?
Nate: "I'm just sleeping on a comfortable couch." Callie:"Imagine sleeping in an itchy bed and hearing voices throughout the night" Sorry if the sentences weren't spot on
Yaaay someone finally understands what it is like to have Eczema! I have had to deal with it and it sucks when people complain about an itch on their nose because I always have at least 10 different itches on my body at once. Yes that includes now.AND if you scratch yourself your skin just scratches off and you start to bleed. Once I couldn’t walk it was so bad. So thank you for bringing some awareness to people about atopic dermatitis!
I myself have quite extreme eczema, so i wake up every day in a bed wich is covered in skin pieces so its feels like sand. I have alot of wounds from all the scratching during sleeping. Luckily its getting better slowly, but i need to use my crème otherwise it wont get better.
As a person WITH severe eczema, I shall show this to anyone who's like "it can't be THAT bad!" because yes, it is that bad and this is the perfect analogy
Yeah, the itchy abrassiveness, yes. The rest, such as the 2x4 frame, the crinkling paper in the lumpy pillows, so on, do not represent eczema. From someone who has it as well. Skin conditions do not change the state of matter of your bedding. And hearing voices is just a bit much.
I have eczema and it is pretty bad I could not even realize I was scratching myself and there was blood on my bedsheets every morning. Now I have a scar on my right bicep from scratching my arm to the flesh.
Same with me but I have psoriasis.. Whenever i have flare ups and it is itchy, I scratch it and in morning I could see the bed sheet with blood stains everywhere
As someone who has extreme eczema, I kinda want to say "Welcome to the club", but I also want to say I'm fairly sure it's not like actually having eczema. You can get up and relieve the irritation anytime you want, but I can't do that.
As a person with mild to severe eczema, I am happy that you are raising awareness 😭 so much love to you guys. Eczema is, as they say, EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE TO SLEEP IN.
I have only had a few severe flare ups in my life, mostly on my face and hands. Luckily I have found out that I have food sensitivities and eliminating those from my diet and skin care items has helped tremendously.
As someone who has Atopic dermatitis... No bed will ever compare to the pain and discomfort I feel on a day to day basis. If you struggle with this as well, you are not alone💞
A little question! What's eczema? Just a little explanation since I'm 14 and i would like to be informed of more things that go on in the world instead of waiting for it when I'm an adult!

WHY WOULD YOU MAKE ME IMAGINE TRYING TO SLEEP IN MOSQUITO BITES
AAAAAAAAAAAA

I feel your pain. I've suffered from severe eczema too. It's been so severe that my lymph nodes became enlarged and I would get severe muscle cramps EVERYWHERE. Thankfully I have found a great dermatologist who fought hard with my insurance to get them to approve Narrow Band UVB light therapy. It's a real life saver. Has anyone recommended this for you?

DaveTheGreat73 me to it the worst but its geting better
I don't have eczema but I usually can't sleep for 1-3 hours

As a person WITH severe eczema, I shall show this to anyone who's like "it can't be THAT bad!" because yes, it is that bad and this is the perfect analogy
Yeah, the itchy abrassiveness, yes. The rest, such as the 2x4 frame, the crinkling paper in the lumpy pillows, so on, do not represent eczema. From someone who has it as well. Skin conditions do not change the state of matter of your bedding. And hearing voices is just a bit much.
I have it too just not as bad as you, the worst part for me is the itchiness
It itch on the bck and like behind legs and arms hurt so bad
I get it real bad during summer

I have eczema and it is pretty bad I could not even realize I was scratching myself and there was blood on my bedsheets every morning. Now I have a scar on my right bicep from scratching my arm to the flesh.
Same with me but I have psoriasis.. Whenever i have flare ups and it is itchy, I scratch it and in morning I could see the bed sheet with blood stains everywhere
Yep same here. But once I was 10, I started to lose it. So no more for me

I hope you guys are ok 😔 😊
When you get terrible mosquito bites on the worst angles and you have to sleep early for school
