For anyone who wants to know. Before removing the bottom of the canisters, you have to release the pressure within them. If you dont have the valve to more-safely remove the pressure, then use your AR-15 or deer rifle. I shoot mine sideways through the very bottom on the canister, with my .270 Winchester let it do the whirly dance, and then can chuck it in the lathe
