  • Join Graeme as he goes surface fishing for carp and has himself and epic session. This first film is just Part 1 of 2 films, where Graeme really gets his act together with some surface action for Carp including some great tips for beginners who might want to try fly fishing for Carp. It's a technique that is fast growing in popularity with many anglers wanting to spice up their Carp fishing interest. While he gets some rod bending action on one lake, he has a hunch to move in late afternoon to another as the sun drops and the surrounding trees put some shade over the water. What exactly is he after? Will he catch anything at all? You need to look out for Part 2 where his trusty Avon rods get a real pasting as the fishing goes off the scale...Enjoy Part 1!

      Not great on east cost. (Harwich) Some whiting and odd doggie and small rays. Maybe odd dab, flounder.

    Been fishing now for 11 months today when I first started I had no idea what I needed to buy or how to setup. I knew nothing and I mean nothing.
    After watching your videos and other UA-camrs I have learned so much just from watching your videos with your tips and just how you explain things. Yesterday I caught my PB not the highest in the world but smashed my record of 15lb carp.
    Thank you so much for your amazing content

    Hello from South Dakota, Graeme! We made about 100 boilies, they turned out amazing. We go to a local large dirt/rubble farm "dam" for common carp, trying to find out how big they get in there. Brown trout fishing in the creek in town is very good, risers can be found maybe 150 days or more a year so I can scratch the itch relatively easily with the flyrod and am also trying out some float fishing. We are looking to rustle up some pallet wood for a privacy screen on the deck we're building. Had our first child in August - he'll be watching Uncle Graeme! : ) Mucho mucho Thanks. Michael

    I always reckoned mixer biscuits were the best in my carp fishing days. The ones with a sort of gravy glaze on them which dissolved in the water were fantastic. You could have the fish boiling on the surface sometimes and a fake dog biscuit on the hook was all you needed.

Matt Hayes, Mick Brown. Nobody on You Tube shows such passion, shares his secrets and gives tips out to young people trying to get into the sport, Tried to make a short comment just to show my appreciation but it turned into an essay. I have fished a couple of places this week and both had Carp in the edges, lounging near the surface...does anyone think its too cold for spawning ?..They have been a pain to catch lately.. I don't know why they are acting so peculiar ??

    • @chrisburn1365
      @chrisburn1365 3 роки тому +1

      @@TAFishing I'd imagine the very cold nights are not helping, we've had only a few warm days but with the freezing temperatures at night it's not enough to warm the water through the layers, which is why the carp are hanging around in the shallower water.
      No doubt they will start spawning once the water temperatures increase.
      We had seen a solid month of scorching temperatures this time last year, it's been very strange this year.
