Hey all and thanks for all the happy birthday wishes! No, I'm not a Pisces - don't forget that our videos are a bit behind. Thanks for thinking of me, but the party's been over for awhile. Wanh waa. :)
⛵Very cool sailing video. The joys of living on the ocean. Does your radar have a loose connection somewhere? "Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky in morning, sailor's warning" ... The beautiful red sunrise (morning) followed by the heavy storm seems to confirm the validity of this old mariner's saying. ⛵ Of course, the free fresh water washdown was a big bonus. Some people believe that the Caribbean islands were the remnants of Atlantis. While others believe that Atlantis is actually located in Antarctica. Awesome adventure and Happy Birthday! Thanks for sharing. ⛵
Hi Guys. I a not sure if sleeping in an aft berth would be quiter. Some Cats have a v section under the forward area to break up the waves. Have you come across when you were looking. We now all know that Nikki is an Aquarian, perhaps that is why they are on the water. Thanks.
Happy birthday Nikki! I have recently realised that I absolutely love your style. I love the clothes you wear, the way you decorated the boat, the turquoise/teal color on everything, the yellow accents, the classiness, yet chic.. You two are beautiful, and inspirational and always make me happy. Some others have commented on how they're always sad when a video ends, and I wholeheartedly agree. Even the 45 minute tour of the boat left me bummed when it ended. Keep up the great work, you're both such beautiful people.
Mari Nordskog You know you are right about the clothing. The Cruising Lifestyle is completely different from what they're doing. The closest they've gotten is Jason's on/off beard. Which got me thinking......could they set a new Cruising Fashion? I've never seen anything like that. I don't disprove, it's rather refreshing and different. "The Chic Sailors". It would make for a GREAT news/fashion story.
I think it's a matter of being lazy or not being lazy. I mean, I went sailing for a couple months in Turkey last summer and it was super hot and I had a small, hard to get around sailboat, and half the time I couldn't be bothered with clothes because they'd get sweaty and I'd have to wash them by hand. They're lucky and have a washing machine, which I'm sure they use sparingly, but it would for sure help.. And if you notice, Nikki doesn't have such a large wardrobe. You see a lot of the same clothes all the time if you pay attention - she's just chosen really nice clothes. I'm sure they have "less pretty" clothes for boat work. Sorry Wynns for analysing your wardrobe like this :P But like George said, it's really refreshing. You are cruising, living full time on a boat, and I think part of the reason that I want a cat instead of a house now is because you make it look 100% doable in a "normal life setting". Your "house" requires different maintenance than a "normal" house, but you live normally. In the sense that you lock your door, you drive your dinghy (car), you put on pretty clothes, fit for a job if you'd have an office to go to, you cook yummy food that you would in a normal kitchen... You're not camping. You're living.
You'd put on pretty clothes too, if your job was being in front of a camera, which this technically is. I certainly wouldn't want to be filmed in ratty clothes!
True, but there's also the in-between. Either way, it makes me happy seeing pretty people in pretty environments being so cheerful :) I actually like Nikki's style so much when I shop now I ask myself "would Nikki wear this?" just as a guide :P
30 knots of wind and she's still rock solid..cats just never fail to amaze me. happy belated birthday Nikki..wishing u both fair winds, stay safe & God bless.
Happy Birthday Nikki. Your video's are great. Learning a great deal about sailing and Catamaran's. You both have a positive outlook. Thank you for sharing your expedition.
Great vid thank you. Really useful that you show all sides to sailing - the sleepless nights, unpredictability of Mother Nature etc. Very informative for all. Fair winds and Happy Birthday!
I love how you treat one another. With kindness and respect....nice to watch! Thanks for your videos. I was just in the Bahamas last week I should have looked u up if I had realized how close u were! Cheers
I must say you two are really doing a great job entertaining us, you did it right by taking sailing classes and the on board training. Others new sailers could sure learn a lot by watching you.
Happy Birthday Nikki. And also realized another reason I like your videos so much. Most others like this want to rely on young pretty girls to try to get viewers. You two actually have good content and we learn a lot in the process. About boats, anchorages and the places you two visit. Keep it up.
She got that covered, yes. What I like specially tho is that i cant remember of a Video where she is taking that as a bonus. Most female youtubers just rely on their body / cleavage and show it around so people stay attracted. Luckily this is not the case here.
Clearly when you have something to say and something interesting to share you don't have to go the gratuitous route. Besides they are both cute, bubbly and worth listening to.
oceandrew true you don't have to be gratuitous but I can't see any harm coming from being grateful and giving them a little bit of encouragement once in a while can you?
Happy Birthday Nikki!!!! I have been following you guys for a few months. Thank you so much for your post, sharing your lives, and the time you put into your vidoes. Your videos are awesome!
Love your videos. My wife and I cruised California and Mexico for 5 seasons many years ago. Watching you two brings back many great memories. Now in the Pacific North West, we are stink-potters, exploring the cooler waters of higher latitudes. Glad to see you having so much fun.
I recently came across your videos in the quest of learning as much as I could about rv life with our new travel trailer, and have appreciated all your insights. Because you two have taken all the time & energy to share glimpses of reality in whatever you're up to, it's shorten my learning curve. I have no doubt saved money not buying stuff we don't need. So BIG thanks to you both and bonus besides, you both are just delightful people. Happy Belated Birthday!
Congratulations Sailing the islands around Eleuthera including Spanish Wells , was (still is) a beautiful place to cruise. We sailed our our 64' Ketch (Named Eleutheros) through the area many, many times back in 1970- 74. I truly wish you could have seen the area then, unspoiled and truly an "out-island", ah well, times moves on... One of the most beautiful anchorages was within a private island (at that time) by the name of Royal Island (just a few miles from Spanish Wells) We went ashore at Roberts Harbor Club area on Spanish Wells to provision, nice community. Royal Island and its Manta Ray filled harbor was owned by Mrs W.T. Stewart who had built a huge coral/limestone home on the island (with 3 foot thick walls) with a private stone Quay and terraced shore-line within the harbor. Thank you both for bringing up grand old memories for this old sea dog of cruising the outer islands some 47 years ago in a deep keeled Ketch, we did a LOT of dingy rowing and motoring in the dink to go ashore, our Ketch was just had too much of a draw, BUT, it wasn't as noisy as your vessel when trying to sleep with waves slapping the sides, we had a rather stout double-planked mahogany hull built in Taiwan, affectionately known as a Taiwan Clipper, heavy vessel with deep non-shoal-draft keel, then again there is much to say good about fiberglass and weight. Be well. Capt. David Lee, SV Eleutheros (ret) PS, Happy B-Day Nikki, sail on until daybreak, by Neptune's Trident may you find great fortune and adventure with your never-ending journey.
Ya happy birthday. Looks like fun even on a bad day. My gal and I are living in a 30 ft black stone travel trailer in Alaska. This morning is the first day it hasn't dropped below zero at night. Looking for balmy 33 deg this afternoon,12plus hours daylight. Thinking about sailboats and airplanes really helps me keep my head down ripping through logs for our new home and shop. Your videos are great they help big time.
Another Alaskan viewer here, and it's been a cold one here too in South Central. We too are enjoying above freezing now with water dripping from the roof and SUNSHINE, yea! These tropical videos are so nice to watch when the weather outside is a frigid minus 20 F. And, a belated Happy Birthday Nikki!
Happy birthday nikki xxx hope you had a great day xxx idont think i have ever missed a video i have watched your videos since you were still living on your RV Wendy xxxxxxxx keep making videos you guys are my inspiration xxxxxxx
Happy Birthday, can not wait to see more video from your current location!!! you are having fun!!! I spent a few nights on my boat during bad blows and rough docking areas, just not fun and sleepless!!! all part of the journey!
You guys are learning and adapting to life at sea very well. I hope that you are really enjoying yourselves out there? Keep it up guys and Happy Birthday Nikki.
Eluthera! Finally! I lived there two summers when I was a kid. Magical place when you're a kid. The ruins, the beaches, the huge spiders! Stayed at Palmetto Point and Governors Harbor. Hope you got to see the glass window. Beautiful place. And Happy Birthday!
A very happy birthday to you Nikki... May you have had one amazing day your side... From the me living at the birthplace of your yacht..Cape Town, South Africa...
Happy Birthday intelligent pretty lady with the neat personality! I really didn't think the wave noise would be that bad until you showed us.....almost like the waves were zig-zag slapping from one hull to the next, etc. Still, the complete day looked very good to me, you lucky ducks....
Happy Birthday Nikki! Thank you both for the video today! I once thought sleeping in my RV could be a little tough if it was windy, but sleeping with those slamming waves would be impossible!
Few things... First Happy belated Birthday! I appreciate the honesty about your budget... You've done good being able to afford and maintain the boat and for the rest of us it just reminds that you're not made of money and sometimes we have to choose what we can afford and enjoy... Thanks for sharing...
Here is a hint on the waves slapping the hull. We have a 32 foot mono hull with an aft berth and to minimize the sound of the waves hitting the hull we string a couple swim noodles on a line and run them over the stern and under the hull to the point where the waves slap up against the hull. Helps us anyway. Hopes it helps you. Happy (belated) birthday Nikki.
You know that sloshing noise is thunderous. To sleep at night is there some type of lightweight insulation that could be placed inside the hull of the boat and with some inside the ear, ear-plugs, and over the ear noise reduction headphones, you two could get some sleep. :-) Happy Birthday Nikk!!!

Happy Birthday Nikki. I don't sail but I tucked into your videos when you were RV'ing. The quality of your content and visuals keep me coming back. Plus you guys are fun! Be safe out there. More PFD's when you are both on the stern aft of lifelines OK?
Sorry I'm late! We had a busy weekend. Just catching up with UA-cam. Happy Birthday Nikki! I'd sure love to be on the ocean right now. We had crazy cold snap after a fairly mild winter. Killed all the new budding plant life! Sail Free!
Another awesome video ... never get tired of watching your channel; just about camping season in the north east again ... seems like forever ago you were posting from lake George escape
Finally caught up with your adventures, found your channel about 3 weeks ago and it has been truly entertaining :) Tyvm! Rekindled my longtime aspiration of sailing life, maybe some day :)

Thanks for sharing these great videos. ☺
Happy BD by the way, 16 years old now?
Gone with the Wynns >>> At about 4:53 in the vid, regarding the noise, two words: *Ear plugs*
ALSO good when your spouse snores. Really.

Happy Birthday Nikki! Thank you both for the video today! I once thought sleeping in my RV could be a little tough if it was windy, but sleeping with those slamming waves would be impossible!

Happy belated Birthday lady!
Here is a hint on the waves slapping the hull. Happy (belated) birthday Nikki.
+John Meyers Interesting!
Happy birthday Nikki! Fun video. Keep em coming and stay safe.
You know that sloshing noise is thunderous.
To sleep at night is there some type of lightweight insulation that could be placed inside the hull of the boat and with some inside the ear, ear-plugs, and over the ear noise reduction headphones, you two could get some sleep. :-)
Happy Birthday Nikk!!!
happy birthday Nikki have a wonderful day
Your lifestyle is so cool! Happy Belated Birthday, Nikki!
happy birthday Nikki. have you guys ever thought of the foam ear plugs for when you sleeping? it may be just enough to Kill The Noise of the waves slapping against the boat.
belated happy birthday Nikki!
so nice to get free sky water to clean the boat, and good on you for getting it done in time before it shifted and started bucketing down for a good rinse off. hope you took the opportunity to top off your fresh tanks as well. gotta love free sky water!
I sympathize with your sleep issues, and do Not recommend plugs, as many have done, for the same reason that others have mentioned, that you want to be able to hear if there is a Bad noise. you will learn to find better anchorages for conditions, but you will also become more immune to many of the noises that are nothing to really be concerned about, but are just annoying. at least I hope for your sake you do! also consider cat napping (pun(?) intended) more often when you did not get enough sleep the night before. if not on watch or doing needed tasks, like cooking and eating, rest if you did not sleep well. exhaustion leads to mistakes, which can add up and lead to disaster.
another lovely episode of living vicariously through you two wonderful folks. keep up the good work, keep learning, sleep when you can, be safe, be well
As always, thanks for the awesome footage and taking us along. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Nikki!!! 🎉🎉🎉
As usual great quality video. Thanks for taking the time document your journey, JC
Happy Birthday Nikki! Great video
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIKKI!!!!!!!!!! you are one lucky birthday girl :)
Happy birthday nikki wish you all the best 🎊 🎉
You found yourself a total miracle of a woman there Jason. Super smart, capable, kicks butt doing whatever is needed, super optimistic, charming, beautiful, and is the perfect balance of prudence and care free. There is probably a dozen more in there. And we would be lucky to find two or three of these qualities in others. And I see you treat her like the goddess that she is, good job. I have never seen such a perfect team couple.
Curious Minion here, helping out while the Wynns are crossing to French Polynesia. That is such a nice comment! I'll make sure they see it. ♥♥
Happy Birthday Nikki! Love the videos!! :)
Thanks for filming!
That was very close to the perfect sailing video...for me. Love it. Those seas are what I dream of...soon we'll be there. Almost got the boat done.
+Dean Frank Maybe we'll see you out here! Fair winds.
One of the best sailing vlogs on youtube. Thank you for sharing.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIKKI 🎈🎁🎈🎁
You guys are genuinely AWESOME people, love watching you guys!!!
Happy Birthday Nikki!
Before you leave calmer waters, you might want to check the connections on the back of your GPS. The way it was turning off and on with the rhythm of the waves (on camera, at least) makes me think there might be a loose connection.
HI Nikki and James! I've been binge watching your videos since you've been sailing and I am loving them. You both are delightful people! Nikki I am really getting a kick out of seeing all your cute clothes and swimsuits. I love watching you prepare tasty food in your small space and serve them up in style. You both are great and I admire your courage as you sail across the ocean in sometimes difficult situations. Way to go and thank you for sharing your life and lifestyle with us less adventurous sofa sailors! Cheers from Canada!
Hi, Happy Birthday Nikki! As always I enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.

Sorry I'm late! We had a busy weekend. Just catching up with UA-cam. Happy Birthday Nikki! I'd sure love to be on the ocean right now. We had crazy cold snap after a fairly mild winter. Killed all the new budding plant life! Sail Free!
