- In this video, I share how I clean and lube my motorcycle chain. The whole process only takes about 30mins but it is one of the most important maintenance that most people forget. The whole video is shot on GoPro Hero 7

Great video, great vibe, I really like the way that all around you is really silence and just the calmy accent is heard..
Fall asleep during the learning.. 😉👌🏼
I came for the bike, and stayed for the Aussie accent. Just nice to see a fellow Aussie in a different country with the same bike. I have some many questions...
thanks
Nice video and thanks......FYI WD-40 is fine for cleaning your chain, google the tests done to prove this
Yes,the perfect way to do it,thank you for sharing your video
awesome video thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks man
use air gun to if you have to get rid of debris likne sand etc
I could be wrong but I think our vulcans have sealed chains thus not needing lube, but using wax.
Kawasaki does use sealed chains but they need lubed to keep the seals from drying out and rotting or cracking - I use Kawasaki chain lube!
Mate I bought a second hand one of these. My question is on the chain spec. Do you adjust it to the 10mm-20mm specified in the manual? It's doing my head it because 1cm of movement seems ridiculous but that's what Kawasaki recommends. Thoughts?
Bro I had the same problem. It's absolutely 10-20mm, closer to 20mm is best. Get a chain alignment tool as well the markings aren't enough. Takes me ages to do it properly and manage to keep the chain straight.

What stand is that? And where did you get it
I bought the stand from Aldi in AU but they don't always sell them.
No way! Aldi sell paddock stands now? Mate I've been away for 11 years and it seems things have changed. 😅
what is the lift you using?
I bought this stand from a local store here. it's a no-name standard bike paddock stand.
how come no one cleans out the front sprocket/area?
I guess it's because of the access. Usually, you gotta undo a ew nuts to clean the front sprocket!! Plus it doesn't catch as much gunk being protected.
I do mine every 3rd time I clean the back sprocket.
I do , it is pointless cleaning the chain if you dont do that the crap buildup just covers it again .
@@Dave30867me too. Both sprockets along with the chain every 500km. And each time I think on how much I miss me VStar 😂
