There is no reason why Blackpink and other k-pop girl groups can't dance choreographies that require wider movements and high stamina or vigour like boy groups. Non-Asian female dance crews prove it (as well all the female dancers behind K-pop boy groups choreographies, i.e. Paris Goebel). The problem is that all-girl groups including Blackpink are performing within Korean gender norms which say that female choreography should never be too bold or aggressive (they're catering to men after all). I hope female idols would challenge this norm one day.

gotta be honest, i think of this group like 4 models backed up by a really powerful company with an amazing producer. nothing more. ah, they have one good dancer, thats it. their music is catchy, just no message behind, they arent involved in their music. they have no choice about what they do. no choice about their concept. the two rappers, are rappers beacuse the company said so. the girls are cute, ive seen some of their interviews (with zack show) but they are the representation of the factory of idols that many people see and imagine when someone talks about kpop.
