Nice job, Sam. Wing Park is certainly one of Elgin's gems. My late father-in-law, Bob Thoren, once played golf there from sunup to sundown, getting in 99 holes in that one day. As the owner of the Wing family home on Highland, I am thankful that the Wings generously donated the land to the city ensuring that future generations would enjoy the beauty they once cherished.
Wonderful concept! Great video! Narration could have been improved by being more tethered to the video images. Sorry if I'm being too critical, but a better voice over would improve this. Slowed down and letting the images sink in, with a more Morgan Freeman gravitas would have elevated this video. Easy to critique, more difficult to do. I know.😊

Thanks for the comment! I hope to do a film at the Wing Mansion soon, and see you and Steve again!
I was in a band called AMETHYST and we played a concert at that band shell in the 80s
I remember playing drums in summer band at the band shell in the 70's
Worked at the pool in the late 1950's.
Thank you for preparing this video. Very informative, especially for someone that has never been there (like me).

Thanks for the feedback!
I remember when this park was awesome... Now, it's a dump. It would be sad if it wasn't so pathetic.. Good job Elgin. 👌
