I love X6 far more than my FiiO EM5, both, however, require good amp. Both sound like a crap out of any phone, including LG v30 or others w decent DACs. Out of desktop version of Monolith THX AAA DAC AMP and proper DAC tuning they blow out of the water pretty much everything that is on a market. I use full size HD800S now far less than X6, its mindblowing that 10$ buds can sound like that.

Really enjoyed this roundup, hi-fi on the the cheap! I’ve been through quite a few Chi-fi buds (though I’m guessing a lot less than you 😂) and the Wooeasy DIY EMX500 is my favourite so far, followed by the incredibly cheap Edifier H180. Monk+ is nice too, but I like a little more bass.
I own vido and yincrow x6. well for me i prefer yincrow x6 not because of cable. the yincrow x6 sounded more solid than vido after burn in. yincrow has more bigger Soundstage and Bass even a Treble too.
Nice review, it seems earbuds are getting some marketshare back since the IEM revolution. ps. I think the glass table really messes with the focus of the camera, try placing a tablecloth (or something) over it next time.

Are there any sports style eartips that fit those MX500 style earbuds? Something like seen on JVC HA-EN10 or JVC HA-F160. I really don't like deep IEMs, so I'm all for earbuds but they fall out too easy during outdoor activities.

It took me 2-3 weeks to become a in-ear guy. Since then I have no proplems with in-ears - sure everybody can do it. It just takes time to get adapted...
Subjective but I prefer the Fengru emx500s and the quan39 (both sound very similar to me with the Qian 39 a bit more bass) over everything else including Monks, VIDO, Yincrow, Faaeal Iris, etc

Hello, as far i know qian is more balanced than yincrow x6, yincrow x6 has a same sound signature to vido but x6 is more fun sounding in my opinion. because if you burn in your x6 more than 50-100 hours the bass will gets boomy and more impact than Vido and Qian.

The ST10s will not sound different with different cables. If he wants to change the sound, the donut ahaped foams will make it bassier and cut treble. Double foams will make them warmer sounding. No foams, brighter.

Emx500 is a well done V with mids that don't sound "wrong" (timber wise).. Qian69 is a direct upgrade of mx375 imo. Although mx375 has the best fit out of them all and if you're satisfied with it, good for you.

Im on kz zsn but for some reason it sounds a bit artificial to me the guitars when it gets busy like foo fighters. Which is the neutral to warmish?

faaeals are good too, got a pair. they make everything feel real, but bass is lacking

If you're alright with in-ear, id recommend kz zs10 pro. Own one, the bass is really good.
