A nice bonus to watching this video is seeing how useful the small grid Gatling guns on the Trilobite were as I have a ship that uses them as a primary weapon but I don’t have a server to test them on, so this was a good indication. Nice video too :)
I get a laugh every time one of the Mod's say "Don't Ram" and "No Ramming". One ship I've been thinking of building next chance I get in SE is based on the Fireball XL9 and Autobot transports from the 1986 movie. It's going to be a large ship that can detach the front in case they need to escape. Or act as a distraction to ram other ships before it blows the emergency destruct. The thing would also come with a pack of remote drones (if that scripts working still).
Awesome video. Admin did a great job fighting us off and made some very memorable events! The server just kept chugging away and my minimised basestar looked truely terrifying from the outside. Just hope there is saved footage from the pvp end event, as it was one hell of a brawl!
It was a really fun event. Got a bit choppy here and there between sim and lag, but that's a bit unavoidable when the whole server comes out to play. Was nice to get some more ASI ships in the air to see how they went. I think we had two Daggers disabled from accidental collisions and one thoroughly cooked by a Starfish and a Trilobyte far behind the lines. Not sure what happened to the Hammer, but it looks like Imperial Guard "commissioner" got some work done with it ;) Poor Dagger 2 at 13:19 bottom left lol. It looks like that trilobyte to the face did a bit of a number on it. But if shay lost her cockpit and battle engineer didn't, then I call that a win.
this is a cool end game scenario, what i would do personally if i had a faction and some friends i'd try to get them as close as they can to the target make a gps waypoint and i'd jump over there and try get in that way
I wish the DRF could have deployed swarms of Automaton AI Drones just to make things a little bit interesting and harder for players to destroy worthy of being an endgame scenario.
Really think you should try and make something, that uses armor as weapon. Simply a ship meant for pounding in to other people. Think 10 layers of armor or something. Could be interesting to see.
