We Spent $600 In Oga's Cantina in Galaxy's Edge!

- Kitra and Peter return to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge for food and drinks. First, we finally try the Outpost Mix popcorn snack sold in the Marketplace.
Then alongside our friends, we spent nearly $600 in Oga's Cantina. Check out all the cool drinks, from the Yub Nub (in an Endor tiki mug) to the Cliff Dweller (which came in a Porg mug) to the Beer Flight served in rancor teeth. We also try the Blue Bantha Milk, the Fuzzy Tauntaun (which has a foam that makes your mouth num) and Oga's Obsession, a must have intergalactic provision. We take a look around the Cantina and our friends give us their thoughts on the new addition to Disneyland.
And speaking of Disneyland, we go to Star Wars Launch Bay to see all the Galaxys Edge merchandise that is now being offered to guests without reservations to Star Wars Land.

for the price you are paying they should have a live band in the style of the original movies. Even a hologram of it would be neat. 45 minute time limit is crazy.
Maybe as the crowds die down a little the time limit will increase. I'm also going to assume on certain days the time limit will be less vs other days it might be more. I agree that 45 minutes isn't much, considering as soon as you get there you basically have to order your drinks, drink and then leave. It doesn't leave much room to digest really.
It's not 45 min. It's 2 hours. Literally just went this past weekend.

Same day reservations now. You can enter Batuu one hour before. Go shop/eat, then walk over 15 minutes before for checkin and enter.

I just went to the Cantina and had a good time, but it is definitely missing the Star Wars alien feeling. I guess they don't serve their kind. Seriously, a rowdy alien behind the bar..give me something Disney.

Do you think Galaxy's Edge might have too many names? I know this is a weird complaint and it doesn't bother me but it is something I noticed. There's Galaxy's Edge, then Black Spire Outpost and then Batu and I wonder if most people just call it Star Wars land.

Sure but when Walt was building Disney land he didn’t even want alcohol in his park because he didn’t want his lifelong dream to be filled with drunk people like other amusement parks-the fact that they’re even selling alcohol now is a pretty big step forward and I can see why they wouldn’t see people more than 2 drinks

Walt stated(paraphrasing) "I do not want the "rowdy" element of a carnival in my park and don't want alcohol to be sold to avoid that atmosphere". .
Obviously, Walt was referring to beer and liquor that was often sold at stands associated with the cheap carnivals of his era.
However, Walt never objected to and actually endorsed rearby restaurants on Disney property (but not actual DL) that sold alcohol, and didn't mind alcohol being distributed on property for "field days". Also, he knew club 33 needed alcohol to draw in potential clients for business and marketing.
While Walt was wholesome, he was also a business man...who also enjoyed whiskey.
So, it can be assumed that while Walt doesn't mind alcohol itself attached to his brand; its the issue of it cheaply and readily available to park guests to ruin the overall wholesome atmosphere of the park itself.. Hince why alcohol is still not sold at concession stands. Walt willingly distributing alcohol right outside DL gates and into DL restaurants supports this claim. .
He stated himself that "Disney Land will always change.
That change would explain to to the growing number of restaurants that flourish on property...and the growing number of adults that wish to indulge in a cocktail..or 3.
As long as alcohol is not sold at concession stands around the park, I believe they're abiding by his wishes.. Alcohol being sold directly off property and/or in overpriced restaurants is still NOT making it readily available..

Right? Indulging in what you love doesn't necessarily equate to NO financial responsibility whatsoever...It just means you have the MEANS for that budget!

The funny hairy guy(yeah, that's me too taking the menu..lol)says way too expensive. Those are the going prices at ANY real tiki bar. Of course, it was the 8 mugs and 2 flight rack souvenirs that threw the check over the top.

I definitely enjoyed my experience. Recommend the Yub Nub, really good citrus/tiki drink 🍹 that refreshes you after a long fun day in the Sun. As far as the Craft beers 🍻 I liked the White Wampa. Usually a dark beer kind of guy but that really had a nice smooth finish. The bar tab will be infinitely more expensive if you’re trying to purchase the collector items. That Rancor Tooth 🦷 Flight set is cool but it’s $85 for basically 4 shots of craft beer (3 of which are pretty good, 1 is putrid). The atmosphere puts the Scum & Villainy Cantina in Hollywood to shame. I don’t understand why they have a menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. One taco at Leo’s Taco Truck is a heartier meal that what they serve. It should be just a bar with that blue popcorn. I would like dance floor space. Only cause I wouldn’t mind cutting a rug with Kitra while DJ Rex spins like Aphex Twin. 😆🤙🏻

I'm a little bummed they don't have the Bloody Rancor all day long. My girl would really enjoy a bloody mary-type drink but all the ones I wanna try (Fuzzy Tauntaun with mouth-numbing foam!?!?) are served post-breakfast during Lounge hours with the Bloody Rancor served only at Breakfast. Grrr. It is a dumb gripe but I hope enough people ask for it in the afternoon that it's eventually served all day.

Did anyone notice the crossed-out "Rishi Corn" on the menu at 0:32? I admit that I only just started learning to read Aurebesh, but it looks like it says "seasonal" right next to it.
I have fond memories of my wife and I sharing the Borg Sphere at Quarks in Las Vegas. Giant bowl of smoking and bubbling green alcohol. $40 dollars and we were set. We also got to partake in witty banter with alien characters. The Ferengi kept pushing the drink toward my wife. A female Klingon yelled at me and almost kicked my ass for taking her picture. Sadly, I don't see getting that kind of experience at the Olga's Star Wars cantina. How cool would it be to see a real band. I want to see Greedo walking around looking for Han Solo, "You kinda look like Han Solo!" "You tell me if you see him."
Sadly we cant have greedo, bc it's set in the sequel trilogy, and by that point, Greedo was a sandy pile of bones under the tatooine desert

I went to Disneyland on the cheap before. I only spend about $120 total. Includes ticket. If I want suveniurs, look at the item,scan the barcode too see if the item is cheaper elsewhere. Some items are half it's cost.
So, to recap: $600 bar tab, totally fine. $130 statue of Maz Tanaka (spelling?)... lol, why would we even? Obscure merch you admit not even recognizing initially, who cares what price it is!? Gotta have!

Every thing that I see about galaxy's edge dissuades me from going. I was excited about it but it looks like an expensive tourist trap rather than a emersive authentic experience. Kinda like the difference between the Eifle tower in Paris and Vegas...

so about the beer. i got to disagree about it being worth $75.00 first the beer selections is bad but its Disney so u can't expect great craft beer but out of the 4 companies they picked to make there beer only one was really good one ballast point also the styles are all pretty much the same all ales lagers and ipas. should been a lot more creative and had a stout or sour to add to mix. finally as cool as the rancor board is you pretty much paying $60.00 for it. $50.00 would be the max price point but hey just my opinion

@@rq4740 well i didn't the max i spent was during my time there was $45 was for the Yub Nub which was a good drink and got a mug out of it. so it was worth it to me.

I adore the Cantina at WDW. I heard Disneyland had issues with there launch but things got better. WDW did it right cause they bought the trader Sam’s team over. I love that place.

I don't drink alcohol but I want the Yub Nub cup. Will they serve a different drink in that cup? If so, does a non-alcoholic drink cost less in that cup? Also, is the cup microwave and dishwasher safe?
I think they would probably serve something different in the cup under those circumstances. I don’t know if the cup is safe but it’s the same material as classic tiki mugs so google seeing if those are

I really enjoyed this video! I liked seeing the inside of the Cantina and the menus and props, etc. The Storm Troopers interacting with you guys was really cool!

Not going to stand in line for hours and hours so I can spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars for 2 drinks and some plastic toys.

The very first movie hit theaters in 1977, and featured an old western inspired watering hole. So, yes they do.
Fear Galaxi You obviously haven’t been to WDW or to the Wine and Food Festival,. You can walk all around World Showcase with alcohol. Each country offers several alcoholic drinks.. WDW started serving alcohol at Be Our Guest in 2012 and now serves it at all MK sit-down restaurants since 2018.

It’s a theme park, you should expect prices on everything are more than you’d pay in the real world. Yes you get to take the tray and the rancor teeth cups home.
