Sadly i don't have any tips for controller, I do play on PC and there its much easier as I have a lot of time in FPS's there and more control over a mouse than a joystick on a controller! However 99% of getting good at something is just practice practice practice, setup some games where you just spray the wall with your gun and practice the control and make it a muscle memory thing
