So I'm layed off every winter and when I'm not ice fishing, I'm watching ice fishing videos and for what it's worth this was one of the best informative ones yet. Great job going into detail on techniques and the equipment explanations I think you were spot on. Well done sir

Favorite part was talking about the rattlebaits you use on Lake Winnipeg, then downsize when you’re fishing back home. Makes us smile a bit more up hearing that ☺️ “Big Bait, Big Fish” ☺️🙏🏼

Aside from the whole video being great. My favorite part is how you break down sections on the lake, depths, humps, saddles, and refering to it as highways for fish to travel.... Nice to always have a refresher and stay focused on certain areas of a lake. Plus, I love your sled and flip over set up. Working toward something similar.

I have been using rippin raps at home quite a bit this year. I live on a lake where they are only stocked fish walleyes don’t spawn. It’s 5 miles long by 1 mile wide. Only 2 20 foot holes. The average depth is 7ft but I have been using the biggest sized rippin rap and everyone else is trying to run small baits and getting a couple I went out last Friday and pounded 20 fish from 9:30am to noon and went back in the evening and got 11 more. It’s normally a flash bite lake like you have talked about in your previous videos. Unfortunately they have moved from that particular spot at least the nice ones did. Still caught a few 15 inchers last night but just goes to show that big aggressive baits work even when they aren’t in a feeding window. I believe that walleyes will only be as aggressive as you allow.

Question. I agree fishing ripping raps is 100% confidence, even more than most lures but have you ever used a feathered or bladed treble on one like a jigging rap? Curious if that messes with the action like a minnow head does. Love the video! Headed to Webster SD area and got #5 and #4s locked and loaded!

Watching some of your past videos with you fishing big Winny gave me the best advice and techniques to use when fishing rattle baits. So I took you suggestions along with lures and techniques and have you to thank! Quite a fishery Besides the 29 & 30” eyes the numbers were fantastic most days even though we hit that massive cold front and 2 of the days were almost a blizzard. I had one day I caught almost 50 eyes. Majority caught on the rattle bait especially during first and last light. A lot of work but A LOT of fun.

This is from my ECHOMAP Ultra 2. It's a newer Garmin unit that allows recording of LiveScope clips thru their ActiveeCaptain app. Before this unit the only ones that were capable of recording LiveScope footage were GPSMAP models. I'm loving it.
