Yes, I believe in the seventh day sabbath from creation, I also believe in marriage given by God from creation... I will be keeping it in eternity by God's mercy and His grace. And nothing can stop me.. by the way coercion no matter who brings it is from the devil/satan and his followers.... Very nicely done. May The Lord bless you, and protect you...

The 8th day? Man has made up so many erroneous ideas and misquoted the Word of God that whosoever believeth in the word of men and not of God will be like a house planted on sand. One day the Truth will be more evident than all the lies that make the simple to fall. Even the name of the week were given from idols, confusing the simple. God gave order name to the day of the week. We have a God of order. The seventh day ("Saturday")was, is, and will be the only day God blessed, set apart, sanctified, and made holy.
"Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy..." Exo. 20:8. This has to do with worship. If you follow the word of man, you will be following Satan, the father of lies. The first day of the week ("sunday") is a day that many are confused because Jesus resurrected on the first day and many worship in that day. Nowhere in the bible says sunday is Sabbath. JESUS never changed it, he even rested in the tomb on Sabbath! The disciples never changed it, no man can change what God established from the beginning of creation. Use your reasoning and see that this is a spiritual battle! Satan does not want you to trust, love and obey God, think about that. When Eve was listening to the serpent, she did not have any evidence of the lies it was saying and was confused, then she was an agent of Satan, and gave to her husband, Adam, and he committed the disobedience that made this world a chaos.
Do not follow the word of men. Follow the word of God. The bible is the light that you can study and be blessed with it. Worship God and God alone. I pray that you study it and be blessed by God word and discover the treasure of all God's promises for us.

The scriptures you have quoted are as you said soooooclear. Let’s read them
also gave my sabbaths to them as a sign between me and them, so that they would know that I, Jehovah, am the one sanctifying them.
20 And sanctify my sabbaths, and they will serve as a sign between me and you for you to know that I am Jehovah your God.’
Psalm 147:19 He declares his word to Jacob, His regulations and judgments to Israel. 20 He has not done so with any other nation; They know nothing about his judgments. Praise Jah!
It is clear that god made his covenant between him and the nation of Israel and has not done so with any other nation. This means that Christians are not part of that covenant given through Moses
Jeremiah 31:31 shows that Jesus would bring in a new covenant
Luke22:20 says Also, he did the same with the cup after they had the evening meal, saying: “This cup means the new covenant by virtue of my blood, which is to be poured out in your behalf.
By logic if there is a NEW covenant then the old one is passing away

It was intentional, I had a backdrop that showed a martyr in flames and then realized SOP council against such illustrations and so decided I'd better comply.
"There should be greater care in the choice of subjects for illustrations. Cuts of auto de fe, Catholic pictures of persecution and burning, should be kept out of our publications. It is enough to read of these wicked deeds, without trying to bring them, in all their terrible details before the eyes. When I was a child, Fox’s Book of Martyrs was given me to read. I saw the pictures representing various horrible acts of cruelty. I could scarcely eat or sleep. Day and night I was passing through the horrors, identifying myself with the suffering ones. I almost lost confidence in God because He allowed such things. It was a long time before I could overcome the impression made on my mind. Whenever the Book of Martyrs, or any other book of like illustrations, finds its way into my library, I hide it, that no child may be caused to suffer as I did. Such pictures do not increase faith."

You are misinterpreting Socrates. He is not saying the Christians of the East don't worship on Sunday. Indeed, they worshipped every day! But in Rome, they did not celebrate Mass (the Lord's Supper) on Saturday. This difference survives down to the present day, except now it is limited to Holy Week. In the Latin (Roman) rite, there is no Mass on Good Friday or Holy Saturday (the day before Easter) in any Roman Catholic Church. But in the East (both Eastern Catholic Churches in communion with Rome and Eastern Orthodox Churches, there is a Divine Liturgy (Lord's Supper) every day, even on Good Friday and on Holy Saturday.

God states in Exo. 31:16 that the Sabbath is an _eternal covenant that is independent of the Sinai Covenant_ . When God declares something to be an eternal obligation among His ppl, you can be 100% sure that He's never going to change His mind on it. So even if the Second Testament didn't mention anything about the Sabbath as an obligation(and it does), it wouldn't change the fact that He has already established His position on its relevance.

    • @Adrian_Mason
      @Adrian_Mason 4 місяці тому

@theeternalsbeliever1779 Exodus 31 says that the Sabbath Commandment is the very sign of the Sinia Covenant and it was for the children of Israel. The forever word used means until it ends and long time. All generations is likely longer, but they broke the Covenant and A New Covenant ratified by the blood of Jesus that is unlike the Covenant made at Herob. I like the Saturday Sabbath. I also want to believe and follow God and if He says that He changed something, I feel that not finding out what and following His change, would be breaking His Commandments. I am still trying to figure it all out as I don't want to just follow what others say. Hebrews 7:18-8:13 at least give me the belief that something must have changed. Hebrews 4 is confusing, but seems to talk to an eternal rest like might have been what happened on the 7th day after creation as there was no "evening and morning " the seventh day. I again am not trying to change or do away with the Sabbath, but it really looks like attached and sign of a Covenant that now has faded away as of AD70. Luke 24:44 also might silence the Mathew 5:17-18 argument. Please can we find and follow all truth available in the Bible and not just make it say what we believe it should say.

Bar Kokhba revolt. It is estimated that more than a half million Jews were killed in the Second Jewish Revolt; virtually all the Jews of Judaea died or were exiled. After the Jews' defeat, the Romans changed the name of Judaea to Syria Palaestina and made Jerusalem into the Roman colony of Aelia Capitolina. Ad 132-136 then the Jews were persecuted by Hadrian.
    Circumcision outlawed
    Jewish holiday outlawed
Jewish practices were outlawed and Jews were exiled. Sometimes Christians were persecuted as being Jews. To evade persecution, Christians started to meet on Sunday and keep sabbath quietly at home. This started in Rome and Alexandria. Everywhere else kept the sabbath for much longer until they were compelled not to by Rome.

No commandment is kept for gaining Salvation, Jesus death paid for our sins , this is what saves us if we believe He is the Son Of God and kept all the commandments for us, and forgave us accepting His grace.

All of this is correct, yet nobody ever speaks that Sabbath is also "The shaddow of the things yet to come" Col.2 As the lamb was the shaddow for Christ and was valid untill Christ, so Paul says that the Sabbath IS THE SHADDOW FOR THE THINGS TO COME. And in Hebr 4 he completes the topic saying that since the Jews did not inherit the promised land, the Caanan, yet the promise remains, so the Sabbath still remains for the people of God. Sabbath is so to speak the warrant for the promise of Heavenly rest, the eternal rest God gave to us.

Here are some straight forward questions to examine to see if a church is "The Church" Jesus Christ founded almost 2,000 years ago, because to be truly a "The Church", the church would have to adhere to everything that is in the New Testament. Accordingly, here is a checklist of things that are in the New Testament that all Bible churches should answer YES to:
    1. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church have ministers who can forgive sins in the name of Jesus (John 20:21-23)?
    2. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church have a healing rite for the dying that forgives the sins of the person who is dying (James 5:14-15)?
    3. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church meet daily for the breaking of the bread (Matthew 6:11, Acts 2:42-46)?
    4. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church teach that you must physically eat the flesh of Jesus and drink His blood to have life in you (John 6:53)?
    5. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church history date back to the time of the Apostles (Acts 1:20-26)?
    6. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church teach that individuals can suffer for the sake of the church, because Christ's sufferings were lacking (Colossians 1:24)?
    7. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church teach that salvation isn't a sure thing (Matthew 10:22, 2 Peter 2:20)?
    8. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church teach that prayers in heaven go through heavenly intercessors before reaching God (Revelation 5:8, Revelation 8:3)?
    9. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church teach that saints in heaven are alive and can appear to humans (Mark 9:4-5, Matthew 27:52-53)?
    10. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church teach that one must physically suffer to keep from losing one's salvation (1 Corinthians 9:27, 1 Peter 2:19-21)?
    11. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING Church preach Christian unity, or division (1 Corinthians 1:10-13)?
    12. Are YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church's decisions ratified in heaven as well as on earth (Matthew 18:18)?
    13. In YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church, is the Mother of Jesus considered to be the most blessed Woman, and do they call her blessed (Luke 1:42-48)?
    14. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church teach that the church itself (rather than the Bible) is the pillar and bulwark of truth (1 Timothy 3:15)?
    15. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING church teach that the whore of Babylon is a "great city" where Jesus Christ was crucified (Revelation 11:8 and Revelation 17:18)?
    16. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING Church teach that celibacy is a good thing (Matthew 9:12, Luke 18:29-30, 1 Corinthians 7: 25-27, 1 Corinthians 7:32-38, Revelation 14:3-5)?
    17. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING Church teach that life begins at conception (Deuteronomy 30:19, Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13, Luke 1:43-44, Luke 23:2)?
    18. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING Church teach that contraception is intrinsically evil (Genesis 1:28, Psalm 127:3-5, Genesis 38:8-10)?
    19. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING Church teach that divorce and remarriage is adulterous (Matthew 5:3, Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16:18)?
    20. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING Church teach that good works are a very necessary component of our faith (Matthew 25:31-46, James 2:26, Colossians 1:10, Matthew 7:21, Revelation 20:12-13, Romans 2:6)?
    21. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING Church teach that Jesus Christ established his earthly Kingdom on earth before He was crucified (Matthew 3:2, Matthew 16:19)?
    22. Does YOUR BIBLE BELIEVING Church teach sexual sins are transgressions that will keep one from gaining entry into heaven, or do they now say that they are no longer sinful (Romans 1:24-32, 1 Timothy 1:9-10, Ephesians 5:19-21, Colossians 3:5)?
If the answer to any of these questions is NO, then it must be assumed that the so-called "bible church" is really a tradition of man, and is not in accord with EVERYTHING in the New Testament. The Church can't just preach John 3:16 (although that is a great verse) and ignore the rest of the divinely inspired Word of God.
God gave us the whole Bible for a reason.
TO IGNORE THE HARD PARTS BECAUSE THEY ARE DIFFICULT TO FOLLOW IS TOTALLY WRONG.

Did you know DEI has a godless monument. It was built 5 years after "Logic Train" was published in 2010, written by Richard Campo. Page 12 describes an upside-down "triangle" made out of concrete and balanced on a very pointy tip. The word "pyramid" was not used out of respect for the "foundation-symbol" on the back of the dollar bill. Also on page 12 it is touched on that 13% of the population votes 95% democrat. Obama had page 12 built and made it an "African History Museum", located in Washington DC next to the White House. The "African History Museum" in DC is a monument to "excuse" based on Sigmond Freud. Very good and useful work! Unfortunately, today's adventists are no more. Explained: they are no more home for sola scriptura people. One HUGE change they did in 1981 is to put the unbiblical doctrine of the antichrist - the trinity dogma - in their fundamental doctrines. Only SDA who stick to the fundamentals endorsed by EGW (1889) are still adventists. There are other problems though. A german conference field endorsed homosexuality as acceptable for a pastor. A german union endorsed women in full ministry. Both instances have become a warning from the GC, last in 2019, but the GC tolerates it a refuses to go the next step. There is also Ganoune Diop and much more, doing things against the (actual) fundamentals under full tolerance till endorsement of the GC and closed eyes of the full-GC-meeting. Adenstists are no more (in Tacoma park).

Hebrews 4:9 there remains a sabbath-rest: The Greek term here rendered “sabbath-rest” (sab·ba·ti·smosʹ) is not the one usually used for “the Sabbath.” (See, for example, Mt 12:1; 28:1 According to one reference work, it “does not refer to a ‘sabbath day’ as such.” Rather, it “stresses festivity and joy, expressed in worship and praise of God.” Another reference calls it “a special period of rest for God’s people modeled after the traditional sabbath.” So Paul is referring to a future time when the real meaning of the Sabbath would be fulfilled. As “Lord of the Sabbath,” Jesus would then provide complete rest or relief from the burdensome effects of sin and death. (Mt 12:8) Paul may have used this unique Greek word-which is not found anywhere else in the Greek Scriptures nor even in the Septuagint-to emphasize that he was not referring to the traditional Jewish Sabbath. And as the Bible shows elsewhere, Christians are not under obligation to observe a literal Sabbath day.

Conflating person with time is a common mistake the devil tries to get men to commit. But it is neither logical nor biblical.

The new covenant did not abolish the moral law. Not a jot or tittle has passed. The difference in covenants was “all that the lord has said we will do” vs the spirit writing the law on our heart. Which law? 2 Corinthians 3:3 explains the one written in stone. To be written on hearts of flesh. Those who reject one commandment reject all and will be told to depart ye lawless ones in Matthew 7

@@Biblicalhope Thank you! I am both impressed and honoured that you have replied to me. It is unusual to have any feedback and I appreciate it. May I suggest that your view of the Law is one that aligns somewhat with Reformed Theology and Not New Covenant Theology , by which I mean that you allege that there is such a thing as "the Moral Law" thus splitting up the Old Covenant Law into three. If you can show me from SCRIPTURE anywhere this is set forth as legitimate then you may have a point. However, it is very clear that the so called "ceremonial" or "civil" law which covenant theology likes to say is passed away whilst leaving the "moral law" intact is an unbiblical view. When Jesus said "Not one jot or tittle would pass from the law till all be fulfilled" he meant just that. That includes ALL the law including the ten commandments. So the question now is: has "all been fulfilled"? Because if it hasn't then you and I (IF you believe the law applies to gentiles as well as historic Israel - another subject for another time) are obligated to keep the sabbath as much as we cannot eat pork. The scripture you quote in 2 Corinthians is very special for it reveals the purpose of the law written on stone: It was a ministry of death. Given to reveal sin and the depravity of Israel's heart that they might come to Messiah and be saved. The new covenant writes God's law on our hearts, but the doesn't say "Moses Law" - for THAT law was but a shadow of the heart of God. No, what is written on our hearts is NOT that law but is a far higher law in which Jesus himself dwells within the believer by His Spirit. THIS is why when Jesus commissioned his church, he did not say "Go into all the world and teach what-so ever Moses commanded you" He said "Go into all the world teaching what so ever I have commanded you" and never once did He even mention or reinforce the sabbath keeping, for He is our Sabbath who is our eternal rest. It is clear that the real argument or contention here is "what is NEW COVENANT law" is it Moses? or is it Christ? The great offense that Jesus committed and which ultimately got Him crucified was that he set himself above Moses, above the law of Moses and above the temple: that icon of the Old Covenant. We need to realize that we are Christians, not Jews, by which I mean we are identified by the New Birth and the Holy Spirit, NOT by the Sabbath or (in Abraham's case), by Circumcision. Blessings and thanks.

@@All-Things-New Paul established the law in Romans 3:31. The moral law including the sabbath commandment existed before sin entered the world whilst the ceremonial law came as a result of sin. Daniel 9 specifically spoke about when Messiah would come that he would cause sacrifices to cease. The old testament prophets prophesied under the inspiration of Christ about the new covenant which was really a restoration of the abrahamic covenant in Genesis 15. For it was Christ who passed between the animals, signifying he would do the work. When we surrender and die to self, it is not we who merit righteousness by obedience but rather Christ who works within us. Not a jot or tittle of the moral law has passed and neither have heaven and earth passed. The sanctuary itself demonstrated a difference between the moral and ceremonial laws with the laws written in handwriting and the law written in stone. Hebrews 4:9-10 clearly teaches that we are to NOT follow israel's example of disobedience in sabbath breaking like what Jeremiah and Ezekiel referenced but rather to rest as God rested. That is a literal rest that Christ did at creation and also in his life and death. Saying "Jesus is my sabbath rest" is to conflate time and person. The sabbath is sacred time to spend with Christ. Not something to be conflated with the person so that a man might excuse willful disobedience to the law. We are Christians....and we gather to honor Jesus Christ Lord of the Sabbath and obey where the Jews disobeyed. To claim the sabbath is jewish and not to be obeyed is to make the very mistake the apostate jews did in rejecting God's law....and they paid a high price for it.

The video proves that true Christians recognized and obeyed for centuries while many apostatized and drank Babylonian wine forgetting what God said to “remember”.

@@Biblicalhope So again I ask: Just where does the Bible call a part of the Old Testament law (which established Israel as a nation) "moral law" as distinct from the whole 613 laws given through Moses to that nation? Surely you understand that the "ten words" WERE the covenant, and the sign of that covenant was the Sabbath. In other words specifically the sabbath identified Israel, as God's people and no such command was given to the Saints. In fact the kingdom was taken from that nation and given to one bringing forth the fruit of it. Thus the Apostle says: Let no man judge you in sabbaths or in meat and drink... A mere shadow of things to come. The substance is Christ. Personally I rest one day a week and I do it as unto the Lord, but I do NOT do it because the law demands it. I do it because I need rest. The sabbath was made for man , not man for the sabbath. My contention with you is that you conflate obedience to Christ with obedience to Israel's identifying sign. I am not a Jew. Yes, the New Covenant is a fulfillment of the Abrahamic Covenant, but the sign of that covenant was circumcision - something even then that Paul says availeth nothing. Nothing!!! In Acts 15 the first church council, made sure that sabbath keeping and circumcision DID not get laid upon the gentiles. The only thing they insisted on was avoidance of idolatry and fornication which of course is the heart of the New Covenant - Love God with all your heart mind soul and strength... No room to worship any other God. The Old has indeed passed away for it WAS all fulfilled in Christ and sealed when the temple and the city (including the priesthood) passed away in that first generation (of Christianity) - which was the last generation of Judaism. Much of the New Testament confuses people I think, because they were still living under the demands of the
Old while the New was coming. Cheers

Why should we focus on the Sabbath? The Lord of the Sabbath broke it three times.
Jesus death and resurrection from the grave is the thrust of the gospel.
Ellen White taught this, didn't she,?

      1 John 3:4-5 KJV
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. [5] And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Any prophet will be consistent with the scriptures, so focus on what the Bible teaches about the Sabbath. Once that has been rightly divided, you will find that true prophets are consistent with it.
