- Some people like shrimp, some people like guppies, some people like both and aren't sure if can be kept together. From my personal experience they can and have a few reasons why and how to get the best success! I've had neocaradina shrimp with guppies for a long time. It's not that the shrimp don't breed because of lack of cover, but it's the fact that the guppies pick off the babies.
And how is that with endler guppy's?
Cool video !! Can’t wait to start a shrimp tank !! Thanks for the extra info
I am planing to keep shrimps in my tank and you made a perfect video for me thanks mate
Where is all your subs you deserve thousands of them great editing and voice over keep up the good work
Started a shrimp tank this video is very helpful thanks!:)
That was super helpful! Thank you. :)
Good video mate. I prefer species only tanks for shrimp, but I’ve seen many people breed shrimp successfully with fish.
I have guppys and featherfin rainbows with my cherry shrimp and after several months the shrimp are breeding like crazy.Cant wait to have enough that I can give them to friends.
Thank Mr. Prawny....we have thought about adding some shrimp to our betta tank....we’ll see....will the shrimp and snails get along okay....we do love our golden snails....have a great day with your family and your shrimp....
🌱🌱🌱🌱👍👍👍👍
Snails and shrimp do great together! The shrimp even eat algae and bacteria of the snails shells
I used to have my glowlight tetras with my cherry shrimp, once I split them up they cherries started breeding more. I should get a guppy tank going, they are so active and fun to watch ^^. Great video , keep em coming
I have had a similar experience with neons too 😊
nice guppies and shrimps :D "D cheers
Yes you can...I got 8 yellow cherry shrimp with 1 male guppy and a female guppy and they are getting along..the male guppy nipped at them on the first day a few times but now ignores them completely.
Defs agree rget can be kept together. Just if you want breeding from the shrimp, put berried ones in a breeder box.
I’ll be careful, putting shrimps with betta. My betta ate 3 of my cherry shrimps.
I very much agree
hey mate i had a problem as i had 2 rcs shrimplets who were just born and my guppy fry just kept pecking at them and tried to eat it but i saw this and just tapped the glass and the guppy fry fled to the back of the aquarium i had to transfer all of the guppy fry was it a right move. Can i still keep them together
So I’m keeping 10 gallon planted with 6 ghost shrimp. Can I add a guppy or two?
I got a 5 gallon tank. Thinking of getting 2 male Guppies and 3 Ghost shrimp. Will the guppies eat the shrimp or will I over stock the tank I’m not sure? Any suggestions or ideas?
I was wondering what i need they need (adding shrimp to my guppy aquarium) do they need low ph together? Hard water?
👍👍
Best combo. Shrimp, guppies and bristlenose.
Sir do shirmps eat guppie fries?
I can we breed both in same tank?
just started a cherry shrimp and guppy tank set-up (w/ snails)..i am worried that shrimplets will end up being eaten by the guppies, will they? though my guppies are not fry eater but surely the fry gupps.. hmmmmm, might as well set up another shrimp-only set up next time, just in case.. nice video by the way. Thanks
Where to buy some? Ebay are $50 for 5.. so expensive

Can I keep amano shrimp with guppies?
Hi, awesome video. New to shrimp so am still finding information before I dive in. Something I was told by 2 separate people yesterday is to not have different colour shrimp in the same tank. Are there situations when having multiple colours works without the breeding being an issue? Many thanks.
you can keep neo caridina shrimp (cherry shrimp) with caridina shrimp (Crystal/tiger shrimp) and they will not breed, the main issue with keeping 2 of the same species together is the colours will not mix like paint they will come out mostly undesirable, people do keep multiple colours of cherry shrimp together and call it a skittle tank, but the strong blues/yellows/reds etc will fade out with each generation due to cross breeding.
@@SirPrawnalot Thank you :)
I have guppies and glofish In a tank together and now I have 6 shrimps 2 red 2 blue 2 ghost I'm trying to find out what plants to put in I have the little ball plant that the shrimp came with and one other and some fake ones I'm looking g for advice on what to put in the tank
try putting some real plants if u can with aquarium soil, cuz shrimp lovee to graze on the stuff growing with real plants, like algea and bacteria :)
If you want your shrimp to survive, you'll have to remove the goldfish eventually. It's gone eat them guaranteed. And the ghost shrimp will prevent the other shrimps from breeding in your tank.
So if I have a tank with 4 male guppies and 5 cherry shrimp should they keep the population decent?
Yeh the guppies shouldnt eat any og the adults and a few babies will br picked off here and there, the more cover the more shrimp will survive
Sir do shirmps eat guppie fries?
I can we breed both in same tank?
I'm setting up my guppy and shrimp tank in a 20 gallon. More for fun then profit. I got a question mate. My water is averaging out about 71 degrees. Do I need a heater. The area I am in does get cold in the winter but I doubt the water falls into the 60s.
I have kept neocaridina shrimp outdoors in below 10°c successfully but i reccomend a heater for the guppies just in case it does fall below a desired temp 🙂
@@SirPrawnalot thanks man. I was concerned the heater would hurt the shrimp. But I'll go ahead and place a heater in the tank. I get some yellow tiger endlers today. Thanks for the help.
Pls i am not good speaking english
My question
I can take neo shrimp with guppy and molly or no
Yes but you may find less success breeding the shrimp
@@SirPrawnalot My aquarium is well planted with plants
I have shrimp, endlers and cories in a heavily planted 40L. They seem to get along. The shrimp have babies.
Sir do shirmps eat guppie fries?
@@GoodLuckEnterprises1960 no. Guppies may eat your shrimp though.
Eat shrimps or shrimps baby ?
@@GoodLuckEnterprises1960 mostly the babies. Just make sure you feed them well
Sir have bare bottom tank. And java moss plant on coconut cave..
Is soil substrate compersary for shrimps?
I am planning to keep them together ..
Food for both?
A mix of food works well, flakes, bloodworms, live foods small/crushed up pellets and algae for the shrimp do well, just be careful not too over feed
Should you get the shrimp or guppies first ?
Shrimp first, let them settle in
I just dont like Amana shrimp cuz of the whole saltwater raising stuff. Too much work for me rn.
al GEE lol its Ahl G
The guppy will not eat the shrimp
Note: i recently bought my shrimps, 20 of them. The seller gave me 20 young ones. I don't see any one after a night, and the guppies are now fat.
I am currently extremely angry.
Rip 40€ of blue velvet
Do you have many hiding places in the tank andwhat kind of filter do you have?
@@SirPrawnalot i have a home made canister filter with a cover on the entrance. And i do have a very big cavr, but i can't see inside because it's bellow the gravel level and there is large gravel isnide for hiding spaces, i don'y have moss, but i do have a lot of plants on the background. I have 6 femalle guppies inside a 20l tank, i don't know if there is any shrimp left, i hope they are inside the cave
Guppy eat their babies
wrong animal dude
You talk weird.
