The Ultimate Performance tip was super! Been using Windows since ver. 3.11 (1992). I was actually an Alpha tester for ARPANET back in 1969 when I sent an 'e-mail' from my High school here in Vancouver to SFU in nearby Burnaby,BC using a Telex machine hooked to a telephone handset using an acoustic modem. The Internet has come a long way in 52 years.!
Thank you Leila for the tips! Appreciate your zeal and persistence in making regular videos on multiple subjects, which is not so easy! Teaching is noble and humane. Keep it up! 😊👍👏
Thank you Leila for all your awesome tricks. I followed the "Turn on the turbo" on my work laptop. It gave the expected result. Then I followed it on my private laptop. The command prompt result looked as expected, but for some weird reason, I still only see the Balanced plan in Power Options. Weird that I can do it on my work laptop (a Dell), but not on my private laptop (a Surface Pro 7)
Leila, thanks for tips. I also like how you use the "Chapters" timestamp function to click to the next tip. Is that function only available once the video is uploaded to UA-cam? Or must the video be edited to include the "Chapters" function prior to upload? Where would I find out how to use "Chapters" timestamp?
Open find, type cmd, right click on it and run as administrator, then type msconfig and type enter. Disable a ton of useless apps that run on the background and you'll see your computer transform to a whole new machine. Works since Windows 95 and it is a life saver and the first thing I do when I am asked to "do my magic" especialy on old computers with low RAM. Awesome video Leila. Thanks a lot.
You make me proud of being Persian one more time. Nothing is more satisfying than watching a beautiful young lady explaining what you've been looking for for a long long time. Excellent job!
Excellent as always. And thank you for also teaching me to properly stage backdrops for video tutorial production, as well. Your backdrops are always elegant and tasteful.
I have hand-built my last 6 high-end computers over the last decade and a half, and have NEVER heard of a HIDDEN "Ultimate Performance" mode...until now. Of course, I have heard talk about that, though I was sure they meant "Performance Mode" instead. Since I started, I used programs that brought together all the hardware installed and unified them to synergy work with one another, but Ultimate Performance Mode seems to do something VERY much like that without having to individually connect each peripheral, just type in ONE line of code!
Thank you Leila 👍 Even though I have good knowledge about windows 10 I learned from you about ctrl + tap in Edge, and enabling ultimate power plan. Also you can use multiple desktops on the task bar icon, lets say : Desktop 1 (browsing internet) Desktop 2 (working on assignment or project) etc... Windows 10 becoming amazing OS
Thank you so much Leila for your effortless explanations and sharing ...you are well ahead of the curve and can't wait to enroll on one of your master classes soon..thank you so much and stay blessed. Your tips have been invaluable and also landed me a new position in Finance. 🙏🙏
Excellent video thank you! I have Windows 10 Home Edition and Can't find any solutions on these 2 issues perhaps you can offer your expertise. 1. I always use a total of 2 accounts...1 Admin Account and 1 Local User account. The major problem I can't solve after endless efforts is figuring out how to copy the system settings from the Admin Account to the Local Account. This would save a ton of time not having to configure the settings for 2 different accounts. So much easier if I could just create the Admin Account, adjust all my settings the way I want them, then create a local account and copy all the settings over from the Admin Account. Is this possible and if so where can I find the instructions? 2. Is there a way to save the Admin Account system settings in windows 10 home edition to an external hard drive and/or back them up? All backup options I've read about do not offer the ability to backup settings. Rather it is documents, files, ect.. but not windows system settings.
Thanks Leila, these are some great tricks. I will be trying some of these for sure. I tried using the Your Phone app and found it very useful, unfortunately I also found it to rapidly drain the battery on my phone. Regardless, I always appreciate new options...
Hi Leila, thanks for your tutorials and videos. Some day as a suggestion could you make a video of Power Pivot and how to calculate with the columns of others pivot tables. For example showing the percentage of the total of another column from another pivot table?
my phone is great with pixel 5 and S21. get a Mac if you have iPhone. i chuckled as Leila was showing the feature with an Android phone while wearing an Apple watch. was this Windows video edited on a Mac? lol great video!
The CMD line only makes the option available, it doesn't set it as the current power plan. If you computer is managed by your employer, they may have locked down the ability to [easily] change the power plan. Alternatively, in your start menu search bar, type in Control Panel This will open the traditional Windows Control Panel. Set your "View By" in the upper-right to 'icons'. Click on "Power Options". (Counter-intuitively, the list is alphabetized by row, not column.) You should see a screen that looks similar to what is shown at 2:39 in the video. All of the Power Plans are simply a preconfigured selection of Power Options -> Advanced Settings. It is not required to have any preconfigured plans to make all the adjustments for "Ultimate Performance". But it's much easier to make a simple selection of rather than tweaking every single advanced setting. ✌
Thank you so much, can't wait to try ludicrous mode. Been struggling with 32 bit Acrobat Pro failing while working on several hundred page architectural drawing files around 300mb, task manager shows power usage very high as it struggles. The extra juice might help, thank you so much
Hi can you do a video on how to find remove duplicate photos or other files from OneDrive or anywhere where you saving you data. Pls not by name but contents also
Hi liela. I have some raw data in two sheets on one Excel file. First sheet i can't add any raw items because its completed 1.M raws. So I'm using 2nd sheet for filling raw data. The columns headings in two sheets are same. My doubt is Could I consolidate these two sheet data into one pivot table. Is that possible
help. great tips but when trying to change the ultimate power performance, when i go to settings and client additional i do not have a drop down to view any hidden plans .... i'm in windows 10. any suggestions? thanks
My Window version is: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.15063] (c) 2017 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. When I typed in "powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61" I get this message: Unable to create a new power scheme The power scheme, subgroup or setting specified does not exist. And the Ultimate Performance setting was not created. Please advice. Thank you and God bless you.
I don't use windows 10 because I don't like the drop down list just to find a files and no I don't want to click all the folders to find stuff and create quick tiles. I got windows 8 because it got rid of the drop list.
I cannot get ultimate performance to work. I have cut and paste the command and entered it manually, but when I go back to my power settings ultimate performance is not an option. Any thoughts?
Well, I can't get the Edge "Alt+Tab" feature to work despite ensuring the browser's been updated. Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be switched on in order for this to work? Is it something to do with which version of W10 you use i.e professional or home?

The only power setting that shows up for me is balanced. Even after applying the cmd. Any ideas please?

Hi Leila, your videos are cool. Thanks. Can you also make a video on tricks and tips using Ipad-Pro please? Thanks.
Great tips as per use. I don't have the apps button in the Your Phone app. Any ideas how to get that if it's missing?
It's phone specific. Please check the link in the description to see if your phone is supported.
hello leila.Nice work thank you.
Thank you! 😃

Haha, video editing magic 😁
From my heart thank you Leila
My pleasure, Ahmed.
Thanks, Leila
I’ll give my phone another try. I tried it when it first came out and it was buggy as heck.
It still is buggy and it doesn't allow you to stop controlling calls even when you turn that feature off. Still feels like it's in beta.
Feels so special to comment first on your video. 😊
🎉
I have tried the power hack twice and rebooted but I am not seeing Ultimate Power mode on with Additional Power settings. Ideas?
My Window version is:
Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.15063]
(c) 2017 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
When I typed in "powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61"
I get this message:
Unable to create a new power scheme
The power scheme, subgroup or setting specified does not exist.
And the Ultimate Performance setting was not created.
Please advice.
Thank you and God bless you.
Cool
