Everyone turns around and immediately is ok "Oh shit, it's Tom" You can see the recognition in people's eyes, that one guy blocking the stage with the earpiece just turns around on goes "Alright Champ". I don't think this fight will happen, Jones about to turn 37 Toms 30 and in his prime, Jones has one fight left with Stipe and then its retirement, if Tom was around 4 years ago and Jones was a legit Heavyweight then yeah, Schedule the fight. At this point its too late.
@@jackgreenway4646 I would agree with you if it weren't for these two things: 1. The interim title/unification bout 2. Stipe is incredibly difficult to work with in terms of scheduling and press. Another Stipe championship or a Jones win/retirement over Stipe doesn't move the needle as much as the potential of a young hungry champ from the UK market

We know nothing about heavyweight Jon Jones. Gane is a bum on the ground. The fight lasted 2 minutes. I don't care how old Stipe is he can actually wrestle and Jon couldn't bust a grape with punches at 205. Jon still has to beat this man before we even entertain the idea of Jones vs Aspinall.

Jones came to Birmingham for a meet and greet. Tom lives nearby, so it was inevitable he'd pop down to see him.
And he randomly just popped down and the organisers were like that’s convenient as we have a meet and greet arranged just waiting for the off chance a fighter pops by? 🤷♂️😂
According to the website at least, they both were there for meet'n'greets (Tom with Gym King, Jon with Youngla I think?) Maybe it was just coincidental booking them both for the same event, but hey, worked out well for an opportune meeting either way!

Well it just doesn't work like that. This isn't the ultimate 'feelings' championship this is the ultimate 'Fighting' championship. You're obviously a fan of Tom aspinall and that's okay I'm a fan of him as well but he's not the champ and why is that? That is because he's never fought the champ yet.
