Hey Satvik! Thanks a lot for the fabulous feedback! Mostly people are commenting on my travel videos and so I have been making more of them lately. Tell me which machinary would you like to know about? I will try to make that one next 👍
Maybe Main Engine overhaul..😅 If possible..since I know you might be busy...Even my dad's in merchant navy..he's on the deck side as a Chief Officer. So I do know the hectic schedule y'all have.😅😅
Hey Darshan! I am glad that the video was helpful. While I was appearing for class 2, there were certain topics which I was not able to understand via the book and I was hoping that someone made a video and explained in simple words. Now I am sailing as 2/e and I will make many more such videos to help explain topics in a simple way. Please spread the word and consider subscribing to my channel if you haven't already. Thanks for your support and good luck with your exams. Feel free to ask me any questions/doubts if you have...
Yes, of course I remember. You said you like bikes and tech stuff. Good to know that you are studying mechanical, I think a big part of marine engineering is mechanical engineering.
Hi! I watched the video and I had a question. Shouldn't sacrificial anodes have direct (non-insulated) contact with the protected metal? I mean, it's not entirely correct to use insulation (sealant) for the entire length of the thread. P.S. Sorry for my poor english translation
Hi Ivan! Don't worry about English, I understand your msg perfectly correct and yes, you are absolutely right. The sacrificial anodes should definitely be in direct contact with the metal surface that they are trying to protect, else it does not serve the purpose. This was an old ship and if I put the plugs with anodes directly, it would leak water from the threads, so, I put teflon on the threads. It's not in the video, but I peeled away half of the teflon from the threads before installing them. Sorry about the confusion but you are absolutely right with what you have mentioned. Let me know if you have any other questions and please do subscribe to my youtube channel 👍
Hi Martin! I am working on a merchant ship as a marine engineer. These are cargo ships like this - ua-cam.com/video/gqMuvPVpaM8/v-deo.html There are more videos about that on my channel too. Please check it out and let me know if you have any other questions about this job/field. Thanks 👍
Thanks Himanshu! Glad you found this video useful. I am sailing right now and my internet is not the best. Which topic exactly would you or your friends want the next video about? I won't be able to upload anytime soon, but anyway, would be nice to know some topics which people feel the need for a tutorial so that I can make and upload in due time (after sign off).
@@RoamerRealm m honoured to get a response from you sir. Sir I need to know the basic overhauling of compressor...I'd be highly obliged if I get the glimpse of it alteast....Thank you sir!!!😊😊
Sure, if there happens one major overhaul during my contract, then I will do the needful and make an tutorial out of it. Basic things can be done anytime as they are routine checks. I will keep it in mind to make the tutorial next time I ask 4/E to do this job. Thanks and take care!
How will your face be there? You are the one who is supervising the entire fleet operations, these small jobs about cooler cleaning etc are better left for some "beginner" engineers like me 😅 haha ....but jokes apart, I didn't show the face to protect your identity, which is clearly not the case anymore now with your comment! 😁 Good luck and keep working hard Nilben, you are a good guy! 👍
