Ate shrooms and went to a Big Ten college football game. I thought the crowd was doing the "wave". Apparently I spent most of the game waiting for the wave to pass by my section so I could stand up and do the wave. Intense.

I did 7 grams and went to the zoo. It was hard to keep from grinning all day. I wore sunglasses because my pupils were the size of dimes. I didn't talk to anybody, and I swear there were little creatures out of their cages running around. The gorillas looked at me like they knew. I was tripping balls. I also did the same amount and went to the movies. Watched Jurassic Park 3.

Ive done shrooms and acid several times while being on a SSRI. I only experienced 1 bad trip out of many and don't see how it would effect the outcome. There are too many variables when it comes to someone's reaction while being under the influence of LSD/Shrooms. This was way back in the 90s though so perhaps modern day medicine might different.

MAOI's and shrooms are great, makes the trip much stronger and longer, have to dial the shroom dose down a bit though.
SSRI's can make some people not have any effects from shrooms/lsd at all.

Happened to me with my older brother. Same. He was 5 years older and would beat me up daily. He was ugly and I was good looking. It scarred me, too. Funny thing is when I grew bigger he no longer picked on me. He was just a bully. Positive thing is taught me how to fight. I hated him for a long time. But I guess it made who I am today. I’m not the type you wanna pick on anymore.

I used to keep someone hand for me and buddies during trips. One still claims I saved his life to this day. He was bugging out and a piece killed the trip.
@@Real18800 yep you should always have benzos for a trip. it's literally what they give you in the hospital if you went there tripping. idk where they getting info that it is dangerous. i don't see how a GABA drug will cause any toxicity with a psychedelic. i think they just numb the trip so its more of a waste than anything
Actually there are a way more better way to end a trip and that is to drink soda, like Sprite, all that sugar stops the trip within a few min. A tip i learned in Amsterdam from a pakistanian guy who sold psycodelics. Works really well

I ate an oz and a half of shrooms for my first time. Me and my two other buddies split a quarter pound into threes and ate it all. I got the video proof of me eating the handful then going on a magical trip. I was 16 or 17

edit: Im a fucking retard myself..... i misread it. Nah thats a doable amount. i took 35g one time and lots of vomit was involved for a few minutes. after that though...... the most blissful experience of my life. Still feel like im tripping to this day every now and then when im super happy about something.

All it takes is an 8-minute clip... and now we have misinformation on a mainstream podcast. These guys clearly have no idea what they're talking about. Where did Jamie pull that info up from? A drug-recovery site?!
Can't believe they said "so if you were on Xanax and then did a trip", "not so good". And then even followed it up with "people don't do that sort of diligence"... obviously you haven't done your due diligence!
Not only is "benzo-tripping" a real thing, it can actually be beneficial for those who suffer from panic disorder, GAD, etc. (as someone with both - my resting heart rate is 106-110bpm, and a benzodiazepine completely mitigates the increased heart-rate produced by psilocybin).
Additionally, if you're having a bad trip, and get administered to the ER, guess what they usually give you first? Midazolam (and can you guess what that is????? It's a benzodiazepine). And if that doesn't work, you'll likely be given Haloperidol (an anti-psychotic drug, which actually stops the trip, rather than just calm you down).
The only truth I heard was in regards to SSRI's. Those can absolutely interfere with a psychedelic trip (well, at least in regards to serotonergic based hallucinogens).
If anything id imagine a SSRI would interfere or limit the effects of a psychoactive drug since it blocks many forms of stimuli in the brain. Im no expert but i did take acid and shrooms while being on a SSRI and had great times for the most part.
when it comes down to it, podcasts have no scientific foothold even if they give 100% facts, it's just people bullshitting back and fourth non formally and can easily mix words, or in this case the non-fact that benzos are bad with psychedelics, when it's the opposite.. they will kill a trip and bring you down if your having a bad one.. One of the few things benzos are actually good for.
