- 'Hundreds Evacuated as Deadly Storm Babet BATTERS UK'
Three people have died and hundreds have been evacuated as Storm Babet batters Scotland and northern England.
The body of a 57-year-old woman was recovered from a river in Angus and a tree fell and killed a 56-year-old man nearby.
Saturday sees another red weather warning issued across eastern Scotland while amber and yellow warnings will cover most of the UK.

I would want an inquiry into why these areas flooded as the UK is not unuse to severe storms and gets battered by them every year also one could not help but notice all the areas in this video and other news videos show new houses, possibly built on the flood plains, a consequence of trying to provide enough housing in a country that can only sustain a finite number of people.
A little further and the mask would have slipped completely..
How many of these severe floods have taken place in densely populated areas and or low lying land areas? More than a decade ago my husband and I were looking for a social housing bungalow to live in and I remember clearly at the time wanting to live "high up". Our present home us 600 feet approx above sea level. It us also a small village where people are frienfmdly, polite and caring. There is a lot of grass and footpaths around and the rain may at times be heavy but it us easily absorbed by the grassland. Why anyone wants to live in densely populated areas without much in the way of natural land around them is beyond me.
Because thatsbwhat they can afford....
and the weather wars continue
let the records show, this is the first time it ever rained in UK.
so from now on every time 2 drops of rain fall, there will be flooding and relocation.
And according to global reports of similar incidents, some gremlins block all the drainage before the harp event, sorry i meant bad weather.
From here onwards the only home you can feel at home in will be something on the move, like a camper van, cause in this harpy days your traditional bricks and mortar home is siting docks until order is restored to the world.
No wonder all the companies who get their weather data from uk met office cancelled their contract. And that was nearly a decade ago.
Sending prayers to uk in Jesus'name Amen
No need to dredge the rivers
