Good summary, but @4:45, FYI, I was working with what is now called a "data lake" in 2001/2. The term is new, the concept isn't. The data lake in question was disparate telephone exchange call records and the primary objectives were telephony fraud and evidencing customer billing claims. We saved $4m in the 1st year from fraud and evidenced claims got paid out. 🙂
It was a bit difficult for me to grasp the concept that it has access to Hadoop. In what sense ? It uses Hadoop itself for the processing of data when they are loaded into DataLake in order to use parallel processing or it is something else? Thank you for the video
Is data lake really a technology? I thought business analytics is a technology that allows to get data from all sorts of data. Data lake is kinda buzz-word to refer to any data that is accessible to an individual, isn't it?
This is my video about ADLS and got the gists of it in 10 mins. Thanks for your simple and concise explanations. Keep up good work. Thanks
