Wow! This is a real treat. Almost all of the music in this video differs from the final cut AND is different from the soundtrack LP! 'Magic', which was released as a single in May, is not Olivia's version. I recognize John Farrar - maybe his demo version?
Interestingly, if you listen closely, even the "final" music in the movie doesn't match the music on the soundtrack. We all know this movie was slapped together, so I'm not surprised that the music wasn't completely finished either.
There was also a deleted scene not in the product reel. There was supposed to be a carnival booth scene where Sonny gives Kira a waffle iron as a gift he won in a booth game. There were a couple of photos related to the scene in several press photos and magazines promoting the movie.
Do you mind if I use this as a source for a sort of restoration/reconstruction of the Xanadu product reel? Basically I'm gonna try and piece together the highest quality version of the product reel possible using this, the official blu ray, and a 35mm scan of parts of the reel.

Very likely the song writer John Farrar. He wrote most of Olivia's stuff in her career in the 70's and early 80's. Amazing talent.
