This might have been one of the top 10 to 15 live performances of all time. FTR, I am a retired professional music critic, with 45+ years experience and used to write for a small Boston, Massachusetts newspaper in the mid 1980s. I saw Whitney, Mariah, Celine, etc. in their Apex primes and Morissette is their equal. This was the performance on the WISH 107.5 Bus that convinced me that she was an elite Apex, international caliber singer. In the years since she has grown to be a top 5 to 8 Pop singer of all time.

There's lots of "reactors" who just take patron money to sit through something and just make faces without pausing or commenting. That's not what vocal coaches and music pros should be doing, no matter how pretty they/you are.😁
As you say the point is to learn what's going on, and compare it and make choices. In the long run everyone becomes a teacher and that's what the true greats who both can do and can teach, know.

Her vocal resonance especially on the open vowel ä so rich, her harmonics so beautiful, her vocal squeaks properly and intentional placed, her clean whistle notes, her deep and catch breaths to sustain her notes insane. All of those and a sweet beautiful face, that’s Morissette😁
Just want to add that Morissette is having a USA CONCERT TOUR and will be coming first to CHICAGO, Illinois on January 8, 2022, then to NEW YORK the next day,

She has an impressive arsenal of vocal techniques: warm timbre, vocal cries, high belts, growls and of course extended whistles with runs and lyrics. Don't overlook her stylistic versatility: playful rocking rap (Ain't Been Done), emotional inspirational (Could You Be Messiah, Phoenix, Rise Up with 3rd Avenue, Shine 25th Anniversary version), Broadway/show tunes/standards (Never Enough, Moon River/Usahay). A thick portfolio of covers and originals, including music videos with impressive cinematography. And she remains humble and positive in spite of adversity and personal and professional challenges.

I believe it's a flageolet, not a whistle tone. She did this sitting down, with a headset on, live and was technologically extraordinary. The ending belt was 14 seconds long. Incredible breath control.

Last year in June 2020 Morissette, together with the Pilipino band 3rd Avenue, released her 2020 cover of Andra Day's "Rise up" the Acapella version (she has a an earlier cover of the same song 2 years before on the Bus). she released this newer one for 2 Reasons. 1st to celebrate her turning 24 summers (June 2 is her Birthday) and 2nd 2020 was the 10th year into her Musical Journey. What’s unbelievable is that morisette sounds so mature and polished for such a young lady she released this original in 2018 which she was just 21 yrs of age and singing it live in one take in front of her fans outside of the wish bus is mind blowing that’s what you got admit is rare talent any song she sings is flawless and beautiful you can’t help but love this girl she is so humble and always smiling she makes your day just feel better great reaction I don’t think you talk a lot it’s just your way of doing things and appreciating vocalist

in the philippines, vocal exercises starts at a very young age. in childhood, children in the philippines are always screaming while playing and a lot of yelling coz they play out in the field, and in schools thats why the schools are very loud during break time in the philippines, yelling and screaming is very normal here, and also karaoke was invented by a filipino. hehehe
