Her friend also said the underwear was totally squeezing her when she showed it, so it was just the bra that was the issue. And im sure she did adjust the bra to begin with, that's kind of obvious.

@@noemieo.2501 thats not how corsets work that usially means its too tight and make sure its the right size corsets if worn properly with the tight precautions wont cause pain or yrouble breathing at most if done properly it should feel uncomfortable as its changing your posture and small changes along those lines and if they were opressive why would many people today still choose to wear them. People wear them bevause they change posture and make them feel opposite thus in fact doing the opposite of oppression (I apologise for spelling and grammer mistakes as i am on mobile)

A lot of the Buzzfeed girls are better about mentioning it in the vids, but it's usually an offer the site/designer has that the girl in the vid cannot take advantage of due to a time crunch with the vid shoot. They definitely should have noted that though.
True, but when it's custom made for your body, after proper measuring it's really strange if something didn't fit. The average person doesn't want to go to a fitting and then have to send the item back and forth or go back and forth to adjust. Kind of defeats the purpose of the custom made item. For all that, you could just be going back and forth to a regular shop or be ordering online.
Michelle Lopez I grew up watching my mother get some custom made outfits for her, and she needed 2 or 3 fittings before getting the outfit fit correctly! Mistakes also happen, especially with handmade things. So while it can happen to get the perfect fit in one session, its pretty rare

I work as a fashion major, bent over tables drafting patterns, cutting fabric, and bent over a sewing machine for 3-8 hours a day and wearing a corset is the BEST THING EVER when it comes to preventing back pain. It's super helpful and makes me feel sexy, comfortable, and supported. Definitely not "oppressed"

Cassy Stowe I don't think it's good for your back to have a corset doing all the work though. If you don't use your back muscles and core to hold yourself upright they will become weak and give you even more problems later in life.

Corsets would shift your organs, restrict breathing & movement, and often make women feel light-headed and uncomfortable. That's what most people imagine when they hear the word "corset", so that's clearly what Kuwilileni was referring to.

This was sort of a bummer because it kinda seemed like the woman with the most mainstream-model body type was the most satisfied with the custom lingerie. I didn’t get the impression this actually worked for the two with non-sample size bodies, both of whom I relate to more and know many women do. Would love to see a part II where we find out if there are alterations or if there are other options for curvier figures.

kuwilileni's set was beautiful. I think the lingerie maker really hit the mark on the design according to what her client asked for. Her cup size seemed to fit, it looked like it was more of an issue with the lower straps. If even after some adjustments on her own didn't work, i think the shop has a policy for returns to adjust the size

Usually if something is "custom made" there is at least one (or) more fittings in a similar fabric just to make sure that there are no fitting issues in the final product . And although the fabric on Kuwilileni 's lingerie is lovely you can clearly see the visible white area under the lace on one side of the bralette ( to our left as we are watching the monitor ) is quite a bit smaller than on the right side . You can also see a difference in the sewing technique as the left area has deep stitching lines, and puckering, but on the right the sewing lines are smoother and not as noticable . TBH it appears to be more of a construction & sewing error than anything else, and I for one realize no one is perfect & we all make mistakes, but if I was still in the Fashion Technology program my instructor would have told me it was unacceptable, and to either tear it out (or) do it again .

You can also see a difference in the sewing technique as the left area has deep stitching lines, and puckering, but on the right the sewing lines are smoother and not as noticable . TBH it appears to be more of a construction & sewing error than anything else, and I for one realize no one is perfect & we all make mistakes, but if I was still in the Fashion Technology program my instructor would have told me it was unacceptable, and to either tear it out (or) do it again .

And how would you get a garter over your head? I don’t think it’s that stretchy. And I’m sure the choker had a distinct clasp on it so you can open it and close it vs stretching it over your head.
Nordic M traditionally, you do wear a garter on each leg. Garters were meant to help keep your stockings up pre-elastic, so you would wear one on each leg. It’s only in modern time where garters and garter belts (originally another way to keep stockings up) have moved from a necessary undergarment to a fashion choice that it’s become more common to see someone wearing just one garter.
