Sooooooo amazing to see you back in action, doing what you do best! The 4k is a great upgrade. Thanks so much for making time and effort to make and post your videos Chris.
Hi . Very interesting to me . Ive been a military modeller for 45 years and have never lit a model . Given all the armour kits with full interiors that abound , i might give it a go after seeing this . Thanks . M
You are my go to artist for “how to” videos on lighting. The education you provide isn’t model specific. It can be applied to other projects. Thank you for all you do and the good you’re contributing to the world. ❤
Well done Chris. I think yours is the first Bandai snowspeeder I have seen lit up. You really capture the detail and colors. I have to say your an amazing model builder.
It's always a joy to watch your builds. You never disappoint. I'm looking forward to the completed project. Thanks for all the work you put into your videos to entertain us viewers.
This is simply a thing of divine, sublime beauty my man! If you were my neighbor, I'd practically live in your hobby room, watching you work your magic. (I'd pay for the pizza of course!)
Chris - I'm commenting here in hopes you don't miss this comment so please forgive me for hijacking this. Could you detail the info for the pins and magnets you used in the Jupiter 2 build? I'm about to start my 3rd build - this time because I fired my lights. Magnets would have been a real life saver. Also, where can I find the graphic you used for the add on room. I really appreciate your effort and look forward to some info.
I just reviewed my J2 part 11 video I did, because it's been 4 years now, and I list in the video that I used 10x5x3mm neodymium N52 magnets. I would’ve gotten them from Ebay. The metal pins I guess were just furniture pegs for shelves. 38 seconds in on part 11 of the build I cover this part.
When taking 4k video, please try not having a rotating ceiling fan above you that flickers on all of the reflective parts of the scene (e.g. the box lid, the plastic bags, etc). It's almost painful.
That Looks REALLY Good!!! but, where did you get your lights from?? Is it a store or 'E-bay'?? What size is that "littlest light", I have not seen one That small, ( nor that "fragile-looking" ). Lastly, That kit IS Really small!!
I just buy LEDs from either Ebay or Amazon. The little LEDs are the smallest made. 0402 SMD LED. Sometimes called pico. They're 1mm in size. The larger one used to light the fiber optics is a standard 3mm LED. The fiber optics I also get from Ebay. These particular fibers were .25mm diameter.
Do you not have a problem later on using a red sharpie? I have used it in the past and found that with a white light behind it bleaches the red out. I admit that it was when I used grain of wheat bulbs and haven't tried it with LEDs. (Anyone know if the light from an LED is different from GOW?)
Can't really say. I have used it in the past and they're still red. But on this build, I actually ended up dabbing a bit of clear red and clear yellow on the end after doing the test dry fit. I'll be mentioning that on part II. Just have it a bit more color.
No. The photo etch and couple of screen graphics I purchased from Greenstrawberry. All of the lighting is custom. greenstrawberry.cz/star-wars/snowspeeder--100.html

Excellent build of one of my favorite vehicles from Empire! A real joy watching you build this kit.
This is awesome, insane. Great job with this model kit. Cheers.
Looking great Chris, some awesome work with the lighting!! 👍😎
Speechless on that flight control panel, my eyes would have been going batty trying to see all those fiber optic holes.
It's definitely small. Gotta use my modelling magnifying goggles when doing that stuff.
Cockpit looks amazing! Great work with that fiber. Look forward to the next ep.
I’m stunned. The cockpit looks amazing!

Just absolutely incredible. How long do you spend planning out the wiring routes or is something you just have an eye for?
I honestly don't really plan it out much. I just know what I'd like to do and just look at the pieces and figure out how to make it work.
1/35th scale Snow Speeder with a fully detailed cockpit interior.....
amazing

Does the kit include lightning film and etching parts?
No. The photo etch and couple of screen graphics I purchased from Greenstrawberry. All of the lighting is custom.

What will you use to power these light…batteries?
No. That'll be covered in my next video. I'll be installing a USB power port in the base and it'll power from any USB supply.
No CGI here.
Do they make a droidika
I've only seen them as 3D prints. No actual kits.
so cool!
