I was in a 45mph(70kmh) head-on car collision almost 15 years ago a week before my 24th birthday. I went to pick up food at subway and on my way back home a woman was drinking and driving and swerved into my lane, hitting me head on.
She blew a .38 - For anyone that understands BAC(Blood alcohol calculator) This is beyond any comprehension of "Black out shit-faced drunk" She was in a drunken stupor so bad no one knew how she was even able to get into a vehicle, let alone drive.
The police and EMT's that handled the situation said they didn't even know getting that drunk was fucking possible.
Ever since that happened I've had to live with chronic back pain for the rest of my life... It's been rough but grateful I'm alive and not paralyzed, herniated/bulging disc and sciatic nerve pain is hell though... Thank god for weed 🤣
Don't drink and drive, don't smoke weed and drive etc... It's just stupid. You're in a 3000lb+ machine that can easily travel 80mph... Harming others can not only ruin their lives, but yours too.

at .24+ is usually blackout territory for normal people ... .38 is WILD ! glad you're okay !

Back pain can definitely get better, keep up with your physiotherapy, you pretty much gotta keep the muscles strong and stretched and just maintain them. I tore my ACL in 2018 and still do physiotherapy cause you lose the strength and balance.
Listen to what stretches your body likes. Stretches should feel GOOD. Drink water. Take care of yourself.
And yeah fuck you if you drink and drive. My cousin suffered severe brain damage before dying because someone thought they were good to drive. CALL AN UBER, ITS NOT WORTH IT. Thanks for sharing.

That's rough but weed and alcohol aren't comparable behind the wheel..
Drunk and high from weed are completely different... Weed guy would have pulled over but alcohol makes you feel invincible and bad ideas suddenly become not so bad...

I literally am more provocative when experiencing sober withdrawls of lacking weed than when i actually smkoke it, which makes me calm. Only time it could be bad is if ur driving and tripping but that requires a lack of tolerance or a looot ingested but you'd probably be hotboxxed and passed out before u got on the road

Pretty annoyed that they searched his entire vehicle for a gun that he couldnt get access to (he was handcuffed in their cruiser) and found drugs they shouldnt have even been looking for. Then they take him to the station and have him do field tests instead of the machine inside every police station which is far more accurate.

People always fail to take personal tolerance into account when talking about breathalyzer results. Granted it IS a fairly abstract concept, that can't really be quantified in the same way blood alcohol content can. But the driver clearly has one hell of a tolerance, based not only on his ability to drive his vehicle at ALL, but then to successfully evade the cops.
