There's no way in hell I'd redo the game. I had to replay gta iv once after Xbox360 hard drive corrupted somehow and I cried through it all and it only takes a quarter of the time to beat that game compared to V.

So if anyone is trying this now. It still works. You just have to sleep a lot more often. For whatever reason, rockstar nerfed the return rates per day. Just keep sleeping and it will eventually hit the amount you're looking for

It's funny to me that no one seems to mention, this was Lester's plan. This was literally why he sent you on those missions, to manipulate the stock market so that he could get a massive return on investment. Imagine how absurdly rich he is after all the years of scheming like this, especially with what's likely a near infinitely large investment pool. He probably has enough money to become a world power at this point.

I have tried this many times over tye years. I've never been able to hit these numbers so i thought I was doing something wrong. I took some time to read through the comments..I came across this...
FYI rockstar nerfed the stock market assassinations for next gen consoles. You can only make 1.7 billion.
Multi-Target Assassination: DEB- takes 3-4 days, return cap is 62-70% RWC -takes 2-3 days, return cap is 300-340%
Vice Assassination: FRT -takes 2-3 days, return cap is 20-25% FAC - takes 4-5 days, return cap is 30-33%
Bus Assassination: VAP-takes 7-12 days, return cap is 90-100%
Construction Assassination: GCD - takes 3-5 days, return cap is 44-55%
Takes lots of saving and quitting and reloading

This is 100% spot on your returns WILL NOT go much higher than these numbers. When I say not much higher we're talking 0.02% so take your money before it drops again.

1. do Lester first mission
2. Before killing 4 jurors invest in debonaire ( wait until middle or evening of the next day and then sell )
3. dump money into redwood ( wait 2 days then sell )
4. invest in ifruit and then do next mission ( after doing it , immediately sell the shares )
5. buy facade shares after selling the ifruit shares then sleep for a day or two until the shares are around 30 bucks )
6. do the bus assassination then wait a short while for the vapid shares to go downhill and buy them, wait for a day or two until it’s 100% return
7. before doing the last assassination dump money into GoldCoast shares ( wait a day or two until 80-90% return on investment)

2024 here and they severely nerfed the stock prices compared to what they are in this video. Facade was $470 a share in this video but on ps5 it’s only $6 and only dropped to $4 after the assassination

It's only a spoiler if you don't know that you can choose from 3 options before the final mission.
I always choose the 'Deathwish' option and don't really care what would happen if I chose the other two.
There may be some things wrong but here it is:
Multi target assassination
1) Invest in Debonaire before mission. (LCN)
2) Complete mission
3) Middle/Evening next day, sell debonaire for 80-90% return (the highest I've seen on pc is 54%, it doesn't go higher)
4) Invest in redwood for ~$35/share (LCN)
5) Wait for redwood shares to climb to ~$150/share and sell.
(Should have around $330,000,000 now)
The vice assassination
1) Invest in iFruit ($580/share) (BAWSAQ)
2) Complete mission
3) Sell for ~50% return ($880/share)
4) Invest in Facade ($350/share) (BAWSAQ)
5) Wait and sell for 33% return ($470/share)
(Should have around $670,000,000 now)
The bus assassination
1) Complete mission
2) Invest in Vapid Motors ($160/share) (BAWSAQ)
3) Wait and sell for 100% return
(Should have around $1,300,000,000 now)
Construction assassination
1) Invest in GoldCoast ($190/share) (LCN)
2) Complete mission
3) Wait and sell for 90% return

Percentages don’t go as high now but you can still make around 1 billion you’ll need to sleep more so use Trevor for that because he sleeps for 12 hours

Since he did it using Franklin, and I could probably do this using one character and get the money but do I have to repeat every step with all three Characters
Sajjad Ali yes you’ll need to invest with every character if you want them all to get 1 billion but when you’re waiting switch to Trevor because he sleeps the longest
I did it on all 3 characters and made 2.1 for franklin, 1.7 for trevor and 1.7 for michael (numbers refer to billions).

This video gives me so much nostalgia because this game is so old
This still works in 2021, but the profit margins have been lowered to stay away from the 2.1B hard limit. You'll still end up with enough funds to buy everything and have a large (~$500M) investment portfolio across all three characters. It kinda depends on how many planes/cars you buy and crash 10 minutes later. The Lester missions are the real Big Score.

for anyone still using this, its outdated and you will only get such results on 360/ps3 old releases, just do what he says and sleep for like a week until its as high as possible, save a lot to make sure u are getting the best return, you should end up with around 850-900 million which isnt as cool as 2.1 billion but its not like u could spend it all if u even tried
You can still invest after getting that amount of money and get to 2.1 billion
I just did it on my ps5 and got 1.9 billion on each character so I can confirm it still works.

I only got 700 million. But if you want to make more, invest all of your money in auguryinsurance, then go to a freeway in LS or any where that has alot of cars, then destroy as much cars as you can. Wait a couple of ingame days, then you should get a lot of money. Hope this helped.

@@ISO_999 I waited patiently by sleeping through days. You can't just wait one day. You have to wait an ingame week or two. Then keep sleeping until you are satisfied with the money you'll get.
And also, make sure you save before you invest and turn off auto save. And make sure you have near a billion dollars. And also, to get as much money to start with, go for the one with the helicopters, not the cars. Make sure to hire the best crew members, especially the helicopter pilots.

Okay for those who are currently wondering how to do it, *_Rockstar Nerfed the return amount sometime in the updates._* You will have to delete the game update storage (not game save) in order to do it.
It worked for me but had a hard time getting to 103% in the first one but redwood came through with a 444% increase.
After that, you will get to a point where you will have to update the game to connect online to get Basdaq back up. For the vapid stock, it took me over 10 sleeps to raise close to 100% return percentage. At this point, I recieved 900million. I picked that about 43% increase for the last mission and it went down from there so I use the save. Tried it again with a 55.9% increase. Pulled out with *_1.3Billion._* I believe Rockstar's idea was to Nerf some of the Investments and turn other ones into a slow slope that would take game days to rebound instead of instantly. It's going to require a lot of game save backups, patience and hopes when to get out. *_Please like this comment so noobs will stop complaining that this doesnot work._*

I can confirm this method DOES STILL WORK. I don't think it amounted to what was shown but I did walk away with just over 200 mil and I only went as far as killing the man with a prostitue. The only difference was in the first two steps you may need to sleep 10+ times before the desired incress in shares for both debonaire and Redwood
And, you need to place all your money on Ifruit *Before* you start the mission
July 2020 update : fruit goes up around 25% and gold coast ~68%. The redwoods indeed goes to 330% and pretty much everything is still working. Got around 1.7 billion for each character(started with around 43 million). To maximize the big heist, choose the loud option, pick as first driver talia martinez, then karim. For the gunmen, choose the cheapest ones(daryl johnson and some other dude with 7% steak). Everything will go smoothly. Also, pick ending C!

BLA23 you should wait. When this dude says "one or two days" he actually means you sleeping ~20 times. You should sleep until you get close to these values. If it starts going down, you can continue to sleep hoping it'll go back up(I've tried it, and it never worked, but you can try, keep an eye on those saves if it goes bad). That being said, 1.7-1.8 billion for each character is boring, I've bought all the properties and filled up my garages, and I still have at least 1.5 billion with each character.

This is nerfed in the current version of the game. Depending on how you play, expect 600 mil to 1 billion+. Also, you have to wait 3 to 5 days for some of the stocks to reach max profit.

dont settle for less because this is what is possible. It may take longer for the numbers to rise compared to this video, sometimes much longer i.e. up to 30 sleeps for some of them. Be patient, do everything correctly, and you will see numbers like mine.
From 36-37 million with each character i managed to achieve around 1.7 billion each
Multi-Target Assassination: Debonaire = ~72% (cant really remember the exact number but was in the 70%-75% range)
Redwood = ~338% (took a lot of sleeping but well worth the wait)
Vice Assassination: Fruit = 24.87% (this is probably the main reason you can't get to 2.1 billion, and there is no exceeding this
percentage, also this number does not come immediately and may take several sleep
cycles to reach)
Facade = 33.45% (took a lot of sleeps also rose very slowly for me)
Bus Assassination: Vapid = 101.36% (again took a lot of sleeping well over 20 for me)
Construction Assassination: 79.29% (took a fair while to get up to 79% but not too long)
Champ Champ Jnr exactly how mine went. EXACT percentages and all. But a random and nice 365% return on DEB to start me off .
Also added the TNK random event in. Bought EVERYTHING with EVERYONE! Still well over a B in each characters pocket.
I slept like 10 times for debonaire but it only went down, to 4,8% so i had to do the misson again and try again
Mark Lajal dude were talking like 30 40 saves b4 it spikes over 300% I thought the same thing you did. It stays like 2% for a week in game if not longer. It will eventually spike. I got 365% about.2 months ago.. easily net 1.3B per character.
