Hi I should have clarified!
The ai written story would be a real news story - I would feed it the information about the story and it would generate what I would have to say regarding the story. I would definitely check to make sure it’s saying the right things / accurate information.
Make the comment sticky! I say yes, but have it adapt the wording according to your style (example paragraph)
Like hell yes, test us! The public desperately needs awareness of just how far the tech has come over such a short period of time. Let us hone the skills! 😄
Yes to the AI story. I don’t mean to brag but I was _pretty good_ at that _“which one of these things is not like the other game”_ on Sesame Street! 😂
I am against robots replacing humans, which is what this is doing. I can appreciate the idea and how it would be used to help test people. I worry that eventually it will be AI writing everything and would cut out the need of a writer or a person performing that task.
Just throwing it out there: it can be a little tough to read the text on screen with the background moving. If it's darkened, it might help? Or maybe a darkened opacity layer above the background? (Hope that makes sense, been a while) 😊
Even big cybersecurity companies get compromised yet we still find it difficult to sell a security solution to a small company that doesn’t even have a firewall.
Indeed
Add to that even large companies cutting down cybersecurity teams to 1 or 2 people and expecting them to be able to secure an entire multi-national, multi-site network, respond to any incidents, _and_ still perform normal network/systems admin duties...
@@CyphDragon indeed too, all we can say is congratulations after a breach.
it’s all about ROI and small companies cannot see the ROI in a lot of these products or even have IT that can manage them. They accept the risk most the time. remember you don’t spend more on security measures than the cost of the data you are protecting if comprimised.
Net neutrality never left, everything is a subscription now
Thanks for all the informational videos you shared with us all these years. 😊

Me: "Nah, havent touched Nortons in _years"_
Amen brother.
I say no for guessing which one is real news
Good work Ali. In this video, you were light years more confident in your delivery than your previous ones and your flow was very pleasant to listen to.
Ali, I like the content that has been on the channel since I've been watching and since you have been hosting. I wouldn't mind a "tip of the week" segment for things that are "good to know" like what bits of Entropy are and why more is better. Best 2FA security types like using a Hardware Key or Secret in an Auth Generator. (I know the answers to these, just trying to list examples). Thanks and I look forward to seeing your next video. Cheers!
"Antivirus is a virus?!"
Did anyone else read that in a Dr. Nick Riviera voice?
If YT didn't spam us with shorts all over the place, I wouldn't have minded them as much. As of now, I'm still able to use uBlock to hide all the shorts, when wanting to go over my subscriptions. But they still occasionally bombard me with warnings that I'm violating ToS for making a purely cosmetic change to what is shown in my browser. I like shorts when I'm in the mood, especially when I'm waiting on something. 100% if it brings people in, DO THEM. ThreatWire deserves way more exposure! I wanna see 1M before fall. (We're getting a special 1M Stream, right? 😉 no pressure or anything)
That is a good summary of the concept of net neutrality.
However this new FCC rule has so many loopholes it's worthless.
This new rule allows for even more ISPs to sell the types of tiered services we supposedly need net neutrality to prevent.
Also then the government is never going to want the classify internet as utility. There's lots of case law demonstrating that they need warrants to spy on the phone utility communications. To regulate your ISP the same way would mean that the federal government is doing a lot of illegal spying on your communications.
I don't mean to say what the channel or Ali needs to do, because they have to decide what is better for channel growth and target, but just to put my personal position on this - I don't care either for shorts or AI generated content, even if it's just for a game.
If I were to suggest a focus or different topic to be covered, it'd be on white hat community, and then security and privacy tools... which I think is why I ended up here in the first place. xD
But you know, you guys do what you think is best.
I don’t watch shorts
Only (future) morons do.
@@LeetHaxington 🤣
Thanks for the news straight!
I hate shorts, but they aren't going anywhere. I wish youtube would allow us at least keep them off the main page. If they somehow can net you more money, do it. People can also just not click them such as myself. They don't ever come up when youtube is auto playing and just playing and playing.
I wonder if someone made an extension that shadow bans any shorts from appearing on the youtube homepage...
I would be thrilled to see more/some videos on UA-cam about practical uses of overpriced Hak5 equipment rather than begging for money on patreon for a for-profit company
Computer security is a bad joke. Until pegasus is still working. It's by design flawed
ChatGPT articles sound like a great modern take on Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction. Just let us vote. Maybe select a winner who wins a month of subscription or something.
Commander Riker would be proud.
Rolling out factory randomized credentials for IoT devices... I'm interested to see how this turns out. Could an unexpected twist be in store?
If enough people say no to ChatGPT, I wonder what the Venn intersection is between them & the no to Shorts people. The reveal of which one was ChatGPT could be on Shorts, though? Or would the story that's 60 if I'm reading the chapter breaks correctly.
No to chatgpt.
If the Anti Virus has gone bad i think its time to bring back Dr Watson
What are the risks of connecting to a potentially dangerous site (a potential hacker's site) through a VPN?
Nice video. Keep it up.
Are we just going to keep the back and forth crap on net neutrality?
Need to keep people think internet is not controlled or surveilled by the government and big tech companies by "see, we care about internet FREEDOM as much as you, and we are doing something about it....Facebook bad...we are on your side"
Tech is owned by Microsoft, Google and Apple.
If you read the new rules that release there's plenty of loopholes that allow you to get around net neutrality.
Even the original rules violated the concept of net neutrality.
I'm all on board for chat GPT writing one article, but you still have to do due diligence and make sure the information that comes out is accurate.
No Shorts, Never Shorts, Vapid, shallow, don't help humanity one bit.
And actively destroy brains! Let's not forget about that 😆
NO, srsly: Couldn't agree more. Shorts and I'm out.
I shouldn't demand this of you, Just Please, no shorts
What is the background track? Makes me want to play Eve-Online again!
Oh of course avast finds it 😂
Thanks
Don't get caught? Is this show literally encouraging crime now? 😮😮😮😮
Net Neutrality act also contained language that allowed the government to monitor, and force ISP's to modify DNS requests and responses.
Could you elaborate? I missed that. What section is it in?
@@gryyphyn8639 Wondering the same thing.
Thanks for that little bit about the DNS stuff.
It also contains language that allows ISPs to create the tiered services that net neutrality is supposed to prevent.
What is ur source for that?
All AV does it's job by weakening OS protections to install itself.
👏👏👏 That t-shirt.

Love threatwire. Thank for all the info. chat GPT writing one article would be cool. Keep editing time down.
Good.😃

I love you videos
Nice 👕 t-shirt where can i get it?
Hmmmmmm
i hate that anti-virus
Avast? Yeah, they suck. I used them and I thought it was good. I had been using PIA VPN for years but Avast had a VPN that came with it. I was never OK with it, and couldn't explain why, so I uninstalled the Avast-VPN and went back to PIA. Weeks later my torrent client suddenly and without reason became severely throttled and eventually unusable. I couldn't identify the issue, so I switched torrent clients and it seemed to fix the issue. Weeks later, the throttling started again and it quickly became unusable. While all this was happening, Avast aggressively advertised that I buy their VPN.
Long story short, extrapolating from inferred, they (Avast AV) monitored my system and made alterations in an attempt to manipulate me, for petty VPN sales.
yes it is..
love the shirt

Lmao. Nope. Too young and not my type. The kid is getting better. But glad to know you are an incel
I have to watch these about 3 times because im always so distracted.. anyway please no AI that'll make most people unsubscribe..

Happy Birthday Ali. Have a great day
"Anti-virus is a virus", definitely.
I was shocked that Avast reported it because I caught them making changes, (Hacking?), on my computer.
I'll concisely articulate what Avast did, and post it later.
Long story short - weeks after I switched back to my original VPN, something was throttling my other applications. It took me a while to catch on because my first thought wasn't "Avast is forcing me to use their VPN and is sabotaging anything that isn't there's..." It happened one more time and that's when I uninstalled Avast. Never had that issue again.
Correlation is not causation.
I am here for news, not gimmicks. If you want the gimmicks please release a news oriented podcast where those of us that want the news can get it. The "ISC stormcast" from SANS internet storm center is a good idea of what I want out of my news.
I haven't used or needed an antivirus since I have been on Linux..
Same here buddy🏁
And I use Arch btw...
I come here for news, I don't want to play the game, guess which one of these news stories was made up.
The bit about you coming here for news, that's made up!
Low-hanging fruit, dogpiling sensationalizing comments, that's playing a game, a petty one.
I can't stop staring...what is happening to me??
All my homies (cyber fascists, nation state actors, insecure tech companies) HATE Ali D
If those are your 'homies', then logic dictates that Ali is doing well. No friends are better than bad ones.
Dimples! ❤❤❤
I'd rather have freedom of speech on the internet than Net neutrality.
Real bot energy
porque no los dos fam
That tells me you know nothing about net neutrality, or know what freedom of speech is. What you want is freedom from consequences.
Nice matzoh balls oh Great Up dates Ali 💎
Normally I hate hoops and chokers but you look so damn good in one. Probably because you are an attractive hacker. Nerds don't appear sexy until they have a pretty face and put out a little bit.
