Hi I should have clarified! The ai written story would be a real news story - I would feed it the information about the story and it would generate what I would have to say regarding the story. I would definitely check to make sure it’s saying the right things / accurate information.
Like hell yes, test us! The public desperately needs awareness of just how far the tech has come over such a short period of time. Let us hone the skills! 😄
I am against robots replacing humans, which is what this is doing. I can appreciate the idea and how it would be used to help test people. I worry that eventually it will be AI writing everything and would cut out the need of a writer or a person performing that task.
Just throwing it out there: it can be a little tough to read the text on screen with the background moving. If it's darkened, it might help? Or maybe a darkened opacity layer above the background? (Hope that makes sense, been a while) 😊
Even big cybersecurity companies get compromised yet we still find it difficult to sell a security solution to a small company that doesn’t even have a firewall.
Add to that even large companies cutting down cybersecurity teams to 1 or 2 people and expecting them to be able to secure an entire multi-national, multi-site network, respond to any incidents, _and_ still perform normal network/systems admin duties...
it’s all about ROI and small companies cannot see the ROI in a lot of these products or even have IT that can manage them. They accept the risk most the time. remember you don’t spend more on security measures than the cost of the data you are protecting if comprimised.
Good work Ali. In this video, you were light years more confident in your delivery than your previous ones and your flow was very pleasant to listen to.
Ali, I like the content that has been on the channel since I've been watching and since you have been hosting. I wouldn't mind a "tip of the week" segment for things that are "good to know" like what bits of Entropy are and why more is better. Best 2FA security types like using a Hardware Key or Secret in an Auth Generator. (I know the answers to these, just trying to list examples). Thanks and I look forward to seeing your next video. Cheers!
That is a good summary of the concept of net neutrality. However this new FCC rule has so many loopholes it's worthless. This new rule allows for even more ISPs to sell the types of tiered services we supposedly need net neutrality to prevent. Also then the government is never going to want the classify internet as utility. There's lots of case law demonstrating that they need warrants to spy on the phone utility communications. To regulate your ISP the same way would mean that the federal government is doing a lot of illegal spying on your communications.
I don't mean to say what the channel or Ali needs to do, because they have to decide what is better for channel growth and target, but just to put my personal position on this - I don't care either for shorts or AI generated content, even if it's just for a game. If I were to suggest a focus or different topic to be covered, it'd be on white hat community, and then security and privacy tools... which I think is why I ended up here in the first place. xD But you know, you guys do what you think is best.
If YT didn't spam us with shorts all over the place, I wouldn't have minded them as much. As of now, I'm still able to use uBlock to hide all the shorts, when wanting to go over my subscriptions. But they still occasionally bombard me with warnings that I'm violating ToS for making a purely cosmetic change to what is shown in my browser. I like shorts when I'm in the mood, especially when I'm waiting on something. 100% if it brings people in, DO THEM. ThreatWire deserves way more exposure! I wanna see 1M before fall. (We're getting a special 1M Stream, right? 😉 no pressure or anything)
ChatGPT articles sound like a great modern take on Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction. Just let us vote. Maybe select a winner who wins a month of subscription or something.
I hate shorts, but they aren't going anywhere. I wish youtube would allow us at least keep them off the main page. If they somehow can net you more money, do it. People can also just not click them such as myself. They don't ever come up when youtube is auto playing and just playing and playing. I wonder if someone made an extension that shadow bans any shorts from appearing on the youtube homepage...
I would be thrilled to see more/some videos on UA-cam about practical uses of overpriced Hak5 equipment rather than begging for money on patreon for a for-profit company
If enough people say no to ChatGPT, I wonder what the Venn intersection is between them & the no to Shorts people. The reveal of which one was ChatGPT could be on Shorts, though? Or would the story that's 60 if I'm reading the chapter breaks correctly.
I can't get a straight answer. Is Automatic Sample Submission from Microsoft safe, or is it just another form of Cambridge Analytica for Microsoft? They say my device is Vulnerabe without it ? What does it really do?

If you read the new rules that release there's plenty of loopholes that allow you to get around net neutrality. Even the original rules violated the concept of net neutrality.
I am here for news, not gimmicks. If you want the gimmicks please release a news oriented podcast where those of us that want the news can get it. The "ISC stormcast" from SANS internet storm center is a good idea of what I want out of my news.

Yes to the AI story. I don’t mean to brag but I was _pretty good_ at that _“which one of these things is not like the other game”_ on Sesame Street! 😂

Net neutrality never left, everything is a subscription now

No Shorts, Never Shorts, Vapid, shallow, don't help humanity one bit.
And actively destroy brains! Let's not forget about that 😆

I'm all on board for chat GPT writing one article, but you still have to do due diligence and make sure the information that comes out is accurate.
Rolling out factory randomized credentials for IoT devices... I'm interested to see how this turns out. Could an unexpected twist be in store?

Net Neutrality act also contained language that allowed the government to monitor, and force ISP's to modify DNS requests and responses.
Could you elaborate? I missed that. What section is it in?
@@gryyphyn8639 Wondering the same thing.
It also contains language that allows ISPs to create the tiered services that net neutrality is supposed to prevent.
What is ur source for that?

What are the risks of connecting to a potentially dangerous site (a potential hacker's site) through a VPN?
Are we just going to keep the back and forth crap on net neutrality?
