This brings back so many memeories. I literally grew up at Layer Pits. As a CAPS member I spent every Sunday there with my father from the moment I could hold a rod. A lot of todays methods were developed on that lake during a time when everything was so secretive. Not like today where everyone shares! Nice video.

used to be into carp fishing had em to 54lb but lost my passion for them and still have as done that a read the book so am a all rounder now, but i love watching monster carp on tele and spooner was always my fav as he was the underdog, so this is a great channel for me.

I fished Layer in the late 70's good to see not much has changed but a 20 would have been the fish of a season back then.. Liked the relaxed laid back feel..

Mate I couldn’t agree more! Unfortunately the fish were feeding at range and I couldn’t get his rods out far enough. 2 weeks before in the same swim he was catching at 40 yards, shame if wasn’t for this though

Nice video mate. Trying to prank your mate reminds me of a social I had with 9 others. We met in a corner of a lake for a chat and a lads alarm started going off. As he got to it he said its a cat..... we all shouted this lake hasn't git a cat fish.
It turned out it was the local cat playing with his bobbins and line.

Good video, think I'll enjoy the vlog but Spooner WTH 7 fish and you didn't hand the rod over to your son on any of them.
I tried buddy but he finds my rods and reels too heavy.
