    I will remember your name ten years from now. You explained that concept about Mechanical engineering better than others ever did

    I am myself from India but I generally avoid videos from Indians, they are 99 percent just straight rubbish or very outdated. So i mostly watch international videos for DIY and other stuff. There are a few Indians though, whose videos are of very high standard, wrt to the subject matter and you are one of them. Very few people talk from experience, most of them just push rata rataya kachra. You are talking from your experience it seems, and this is so invaluable. Your videos made me understand these things so clearly. I am Electrical Engineer and have been struggling with bearings shafts and fits, trying to make a wind generator. This is the first time i understood how to lock things properly to the shaft. You made things so clear, that instead of buying these, i will make my own (i have learned a little carpentry, so i will try). You work made me proud to be an Indian. Thank you.

    Now clearly understood why motor manufacturers and gearbox manufacturers making keyless shaft. Excellent graphical representation of double taper lock and single taper lock. Thanks for sharing the great knowledge.

      Yes right. that's the main reason, manufacturer gives without key cut option.
      also, for a high dynamic balance motion, a keyless motor should be used with power locking.

      Yes, i do have plans.
      1. A High speed bearing block design
      2. A Hydraulic based scissors lift
      3. A scara robot
      i hope i will do everything soon.

    Please correct me if I'm wrong, but press fit is often employed for components like gears and shafts. When there is excessive clearance due to operation between gear and shaft the we simply replace bush if there is option during assembly.
    Btw great content I always learn new things from your videos. 👍

    • @mastermechanicaldesign
      @mastermechanicaldesign  7 місяців тому +2

      I am not sure, I have not seen press fit used to fix gears on shafts in industrial design, like in automobiles, locomotives or aerospace, however, press fit is used for locally positional fixed, like so often for dowels, but not for interchangeable parts,
      However, if someone is doing press fit for gears and shafts, it may be just for cost savings. But at the same time, it is bad method, it will be painful to take apart
      Also you can't do press fit on motor shaft, motor will get damaged.

      @@mastermechanicaldesign thanks for reply.
      I have seen gear to gear assembley by press fit and shrink method. In shrink we cool one gear and heat another gear then simply place them togather at desired angle.

    hello , in the video of linear actuator , what factors have you consider when choosing the seervomotor ? in fact , how can we install a servomotor working under 400 v ? and whay does it mean servomotor without gear?

    • @mastermechanicaldesign
      @mastermechanicaldesign  7 місяців тому

      1. Factor considering when choosing servo motor: Factor all depends on mechanical system which is connected with servo motor, for example in that video, ball screw was there so we have considered 90% efficiency, if there was lead screw, we should go for 70-80%, servo motor fully deliver its rated torque
      2. How can we install servo motor working under 400 V: Yes, we can, most of servo motor comes in 400V, voltage take by its servo drive, without servo drive we can't operate servo motor
      3. What does mean by servo motor without gear: its actually gearbox, means if required speed is less, then we can use a gearbox with servo motor, or inbuild gearmotor, to increase the torque.

    • @mastermechanicaldesign
      @mastermechanicaldesign  7 місяців тому +1

      Better to refer, mechanical standard items catalogue, like for pneumatic, refer SMC or festo, for bearings refer SKF, for Ball screws LM guides refer THK or HIWIN, there are no such one single book, only this channel is here for this 😚

      in the video of linear actuator

    • @mastermechanicaldesign
      @mastermechanicaldesign  7 місяців тому

      Float plate? Yeah, float plate to consider in screw stroke length.

    • @HatemFERCHICHI-yy3xk
      @HatemFERCHICHI-yy3xk 7 місяців тому

      Why it has to be considered ?

    • @mastermechanicaldesign
      @mastermechanicaldesign  7 місяців тому

      Basically, total screw length equal to : Stroke length + Ball nut length + both end bearing length + Coupling length + some extra length (if required)
      and in that particular design, i will have to consider ball nut length as float plate total length because i can't travel the float plate over support bearings
