I hope the Trio puts out another record that sounds more like this soon. I liked MSIT, but this has some extra energy that makes it better than the album for me.
I feel like Dan didn't truly get to shine on the album, but the 3 songs that he sings on this are amazing and i'm a little disappointed there wasn't more of him on the record

You're absolutely correct, Ian. This ep is an incredible collection of songs, as well as the rest of their entire discography for that matter. I've been an avid fanatic of AK3 ever since I heard Crawl for the very first time on a Vagrant Records compilation. I was immediately hooked. I just can't imagine why in the world anyone would not like them. Obviously this is just my opinion, but to me, they are one of the all-time greats. Even Skiba's side project, Matt Skiba and the Sekrets is fucking incredible. The motherfucker is just genius.

so, i put some thought into this song and i'm 100% convinced dan wrote "balanced on a shelf" about matt and thats why it got culled from the official album. new matt songs suck. there's no feeling. there's no depth. there's no metaphor. dan is the better artist. matt has given up.
Ive always liked matt songs better. I like his edge. Dans side project was amazing. Over the years they both got so much better at vocals. I love all my Trio equally
First song already blew away "My Shame is True". I love Alkaline with a passion, but that album didn't do it for me, sadly. I loved everything up until that album. :/

i really enjoy this EP. Matt and Dan are the best
Not to brag (im bragging) ive got the vinyl. Its one of my favorites. I think the Dan songs are some of his best ever
