    if you have not already worked it into your plans, putting a dairy cow ahead of your chickens would be a great idea. It seems like you have plenty of good grass to support one, they only need a 1/4 acre electric fence if they are being moved daily and she will help you out with mowing the grass (without paying for gas!) You'll also get a wealth of milk, so if you wanted to do naturally fed pork you'd already have their favorite food, raw milk coming in for free. The cow manure will also attract all kinds of yummy bugs for the birds and the birds will scratch at it, thereby distributing it and fertilizing the land. Just a thought! I love the videos and the approach, keep up the good work and spreading the word!

    if you need a tractor I suggest a ford 8n with a used brush hog you could pick up the whole package for under 5 K a good website for tractor shopping is TractorHouse.com

    Instead of throwing the hay in the woods leave it in the field, it will break down fast and feed itself. Plants feed plants.
