Common Courtesy was their best work. Musically, It had the perfect combination of where they started and where they were going. This band means the world to me.

I won't deny that was a great album, almost every song was AWESOMENESS and a head banger. Nothing beats seeing them live especially at warped tour 2011 at Tinley Park IL when they made a surprise appearance! ADTR!!!!

What you all need to remember is that A Day To Remember produced this album ENTIRELY on their own. They even filed a lawsuit against Victory Records for their independence and fought tirelessly until they won. That is literally the polar opposite of selling out to some generic record company just for the money. This band is entirely their own and they do it for themselves. Not for you and me, not for money. It's what they love to do. You gotta respect them for that

wtf happened? I remember when this album came out everyone loved it! I still love this new album and listen to it every couple weeks! Now I come to this and the comments are full of hate? Why?? People just like to complain I guess. I've been a longtime fan, and I love every song in this album.
For sure, haters are always gonna hate, unfortunately. Just because it's not a carbon copy of their previous work, it's immediately shit. Well I have been a big fan since FTWHH, and quite honestly they have kept a similar structure, which by no means is a bad thing! Heavy guitars, poppy-chorus, it's a style they do very well, I think!
i dont get it either, and the only thing that there doung different is proggraming the drums first and then make a song around the beat, but thats all i know different, maybe since they made thre own label they can have as much time they want to produce better music possibly

2023 and this is still one of their best songs and their best album (in my opinion). I can't stress enough how much this sound captures their FTWHH days but keeps it fresh. I could listen to this album every day for the rest of my life.

I lived in Ocala when I was younger. This is a pretty accurate description lol. My older sister was actually friends with Jeremy before ADTR was really famous at all. He came to my house to hang out with her often. She went to their very first show. Unfortunately, I was only in like 3rd grade, and didn't really listen to rock music until I discovered Linkin Park a year later :-/

I dunno if they actually read these comments, but as an amateur engineer I've been taught to use reference tracks when mixing/mastering in various monitors and recording settings. Just wanted to let you know that I always pull up one of your songs when I use this technique while mixing heavier songs. The sound you guys get is incredible. Just wanted to let you know that.

Aaron Carnes Yes, I believe so. This record has a very "classic" feel to it. There's not a bad song on it. I think the guys have finally achieved their own sound with this album. Homesick was a great record at the time it came out, but they've progressed so much since then and they've gotten way better at songwriting.

The awesome thing about music is that it's timeless. I went from listening to Led Zepplin, to A Day To Remember and then to The Offspring all in a matter of minutes and loved it all. Musics reach is forward and backward as long as you listen it's relevant. Love this album

I'm convinced people who think a day to remember are sellouts are people who started liking them after WSMFY. They have always had a song or two or three or even four on every album that is more pop than punk/rock/scream. they have never been an exclusively heavy screaming band. people just hate that they are popular now which makes no sense. If you truly love this band then you should be happy for their success. and there are plenty of bands that change their sound, but i really feel as if a day to remember has stayed true to their roots for the most part. but this is all just my opinion!

i just recently started listening to this band,and when i first listen to a band i start from the very Beginning of their music career. so i can full heartedly agree with you when you say that they've stayed close to their roots. i feel as though they've always had this sound, but have improved it over the past coupe of albums.
Yeah I really don't understand why people call them sell outs. their style hardly even change or even made that drastic of a change anyway. its not a big of a change like kiss with their kisco album, metalica with the reload album, or Avenged with their city of evil, those bands did big and noticeable changes
Bryan Mota Amen bro, those are very good examples. But ya wtf, they have always had a bit of a poppy-esque sound, coupled with heavy guitar riffs and whatnot. It's a sound that they have honed in on and perfected through the years, in my humble opinion!
Joe Willard Agreed! They evolved as a band quite nicely..Idk man some people really don't know what their talking about most of the time, I see it in their youtube videos comment sections, some can hardly even classify their genre, one person called them alternative rock -___-
