Hey man, thanks for the awesome fix! I brought my 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe to the dealer a few times, and they said they'd need to replace the whole thing for $3,000 if I wanted to get rid of the squeaking/creaking. After that I found your video and fixed a 3k problem for just a few bucks. I made it a point to go down there and let them know how I fixed the problem. Thanks a ton!
Gangsta. I placed an entire strip (very thin) across the entire bar so it doesn't look so ugly as in the video. It works, brother; thank you for sharing.
Dealers are absolute crooks and this will probably be my last BMW for a while. They have compromised on a lot of quality and they've gone rainbow woke. Disgusting. Mine is making a squeaking noise in the winter but I'll be checking out for this.
It did for me and few other people looking from comments. Maybe different placement?Well, you can always take it to dealer and they will remove roof liner and charge you over 10000 for labor
Yeh not looking to spend that sort of money, I don’t think I’ll get that sort of money for the whole car lol... I had a go at fixing this noise maybe 8 - 9 years ago and again this morning but not happening unfortunately, just a stupidly designed sunroof, have already disabled the rear section of the sunroof too. When it’s open it’s quiet, very strange.
@@TheSting772 Your rattle is most likely not coming from the Bar it is the Actual piece of fixed glass. The back end of that should be resting on the rubber seal but over time it shrinks and then the glass is actually coming into contact with the support. You can use some Felt Tape a very small piece will take care of it.

My F25 has same problem! Thanks for sharing
My 2011 BMW X3 has the same issue. Thanks for the video
Wow this actually worked on 2015 Genesis after taking it at least 5 times to the dealer this worked 😂😂😂 thanks man 💪🏼💪🏼
Thank you. This worked on the Pano roof in my E61. It was driving me crazy.
Thanks for the fix! The squeak was driving me up the wall...

Have you had any issues with leaks or the overall function after this fix?
My car is Sonata and has the same problem Thanks I'll try it👍🏻
Did it work?
I have a 2023 ford edge will this fix my issue??
I van confirm that putting silicon pads in the middle and corners of the bar works.

It’s so annoying
Right!?
Same issue with my ‘16 X3.. So annoying!!
Thanks dude. Going to try this, this weekend.
Clever fix! I may have to utilize this for the Pathfinder if it starts having a similar issue with the crossbar. Keep up the good work!
Nice one brother! I thought the noise was coming from the trunk. I have a 2016 F25 but nope it’s the sunroof! Nicely played.
Omg. Familiar engine sound! 35i right?
Yup. Miss that car.
Nice
You still own this car?
I do not
@@FelekPL I am tryng to buy a 2011 BMX X3 35i with 120,000 miles on it, Can you give me some advice if I will buy that kind of SUV?
@@joselitoorigenes6773 Make sure water pump and thermostat were replaced or maybe even replaced twice.
@@FelekPL thank you very much. Really appreciated your reply.
Doesn’t really fix the rattle...
