how funny to see the Hotel Belvedere here and on that book "Accidentally Wes" because that hotel has a special place in my life, I worked (and lived there) one summer back in the 90's....such amazing memories and yes it was an absolute dream that place, especially at night when everyone left and only the guests and the people who worked there stayed among the ice, the mountains and the sky...my first spiritual experience ! oh wow just went back memory lane to the beginning of my 20's wasn't expecting that ! :) Thank you !

thank you! i wish i had seen this earlier - the map books would have made the perfect gift for my uncle but i had to send his package quite early to make sure it arrived in time! but i know what to get him next year!!!
It took me forever to get thru this video because I kept rewinding then pausing while I googled the books or publishers & shopped. I went down a rabbit hole on Tara Books’ website watching videos of how the books are made & now a few are on their way to me. Thanks so much for all the recommendations!!
The one that grabbed my attention the most is "The devil's Atlas" I find it so interesting because I was always curious about how things are for other people from different cultures and religions.

The fairy tale books illustrated by K.Y. Craft are gorgeous. She's done Cinderella and the 12 Dancing Princesses and probably others.

What a fabulous lot of recommendations, Jen. I must admit I still buy beautiful illustrated children's books for myself, and in the last few years have been appreciating graphic novels more and more, (particularly of the style you showed in this video). I have now finished reading 'The Sister Who Ate Her Brothers' and loved it - congratulations!
I love the Witch Boy books! And it's always a time dragging my husband away from the Taschen books when we go to the bookstore.
