- Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing with you guys my favorite books from my Illustrated Art Book collection. I'm not only sharing children's books but also great illustration art books like "Wonder" from Beatrice Blue, clearly of my favorites, where she shares her illustration process and what's behind her beautiful work and characters. Or another book that I love is called National Parks from U.S.A by Chris Turnham. All the links are below.
For a while now I wanted to share in a video these books, the work I admire from other amazing illustrators, so in today's video I will go through each of my most favorite art books and picture books. I'm always curious about buying artbooks and get to see the art printed on paper, mostly when I admire the illustrator so much. And knowing all the work and details that go behind.
Probably many of you might not know, but a book takes several months to make, and publication can take from months to even a couple of years, depending on the size of the project. For example, I'm illustrating a few books myself this year, that will be released sometime next year.

The fact is that the illustrated books are pleasing to the eyes, to say the least.
I think Wonder looks like my favorite, but I love the colors in all of the books. You're making me want to go spend all my money on beautifully illustrated children's books haha.

Anton Hertbruggen is in my very short list of greatest illustrators of all time ... every piece he does just goes straight to the heart ... the atmosphere he creates is so immersive..

Thank you for the inspiration. I'd sure to check them out. Especially Wonder: this is pure candy to my eyes. Oh, and ofcourse the National Parks too.
One of my favorite illustrated books is 'Madame Butterfly' by Benjamin Lacombe. If there is ever a fire in my house, this book is the one that I'll save. His illustrations are mesmerizing. He has published a lot of illustrated books, but this one is my favorite.

Beautiful List! I have definitely added a few more to my wish list! Other books that I love:
Mountains of the world by Dieter Braun (or actually any of his books)
The Egyptians by Chaaya Prabhat (she also does lots of picture books that are gorgeous) - this one has flaps to open hidden info

Discovering many great artists thanks to your video! Already knew Beatrice Blue and Chris Turnham but the others were lovely finds 😊. Particularly the Mercados Del Mundo book illustrator! All artist from this video have such strong work, but I love the representation on Mercados del Mundo, the backgrounds and characters are so rich! Definitely something I want to work on in my own work 😌

Lovely books! Some of my favourites that weren't mentioned are Cozy Days by Iraville, the Land of Neverbelieve by Norman Messenger and Oliver Jeffers picture books.

Cool books! I like the National Parks one a lot. Some of my favorite illustrated books have been field guides and ecology books.

How did you end up illustrating books,like whats were your steps and tips,just wondering
I wonder, as a professional illustrator, can you draw everything? I mean, are you good at everything some one can draw? For example, can you also do urban sketching, and realistic portraits or anatomy, and comic, and nonfigurative doodles, etc.? With pencils, ink, watercolor, etc.?
Hi Diana, that’s a great question. In my particular case I can ✏️ mostly because I love to try new mediums, techniques, etc .. but I have my own style and preferred tools 😊

Bought wonder and the quality of the images are not what i expected, it's like flu.. Still beautiful work from Beatrice, shame the prints are not good enough
Robert Hunter is also in the same stratosphere of great illustrators as Anton Hertbruggen and Jon McNaught, the book you show here is not among his best works, his has other books that showcases his greatness much much better .. like The New Ghost, Map Of Days, Land of Nod..
