@@bmwsincekid oil in intake on these engines leads to carbon sticking to valves over time. Check your PCV or see what other solutions people have for that specific engine.
PCV delete is a big no no for B58, pull the valve cover asap and see how much moisture accumulates in the head and makes the oil a milkshake. This has happen before and blew a B58. Maybe you meant to say a PCV upgrade? If it’s deleted I’d get that fixxed asap.
@@mihaialexns you can simply just replace the diaphragm, but if you want to eliminate the problem forever. Go with a ross racing PCV upgrade + their catch can. They have the best PCV upgrade in the market for the Gen 1 B58. For gen 2, the PCV system is inside the valve cover. They sell metal pins for the PCV system in the gen 2
Once you've got this sorted are the plans for you guys to do the conversion yourselves or do a kit. The US love their E46s - so big market there. What with overall height, do you think the bonnet will need a bulge? Awesome - which ever direction you go 👏
Nice conversion 😃👍. These engines are taller than most people realise and have a deep sump and high cam cover and not an easy swap especially for RHD . Cooling will probably be an issue especially cramming in a charge cooler rad too . Especially along with big power thing . Someone needs to do a dry sump / shallow sump conversion for the 58 platform too . Cracking engine for the money considering the power it will take and as long as their not abused . Anyone out there making the bmw alloy quick release coolant fittings for the rad / charge cooler ? I Need some for some rads I’m making ? Want to use these and not crappy jubilee clips .
What powersteering pump did you use, ive got a e39 5 series and the heavy steering is awful, just wonering weather i can upgrade it to one of these units
Does anyone know the external diameter of the stock inlet/turbo elbow. I’ve got an intake but it didn’t come with the silicone hose to fit it to the stock elbow so I need to buy one..
@@wrth because there ugly boring and don’t handle where as the m2 is better set up. Breaks, chassis dct gear box and just looks so much better with the fat arches.
@@jim8462 have you driven either of these cars? handles perfectly fine M2 is better stock but you can always swap suspension bushes arms whatever to make the 240 better handling. S55 to B58 is a bit of a downgrade for an M. maybe if you bought an M2 with a broken engine for dirt cheap.
@@wrth lol everyone knows the OG m2 came with the N55 and of course why would you swap a s55 for a b58 that’s just stupid ! and yes driven both and owned a OG m2 for three years and now I have a RS3.
@@jim8462 my fault i was thinking M2 comp never driven a base M2. still N55 is basically the same as a B58 wouldn’t be much of an upgrade. calling it an OG M2 like its got 10 models when there’s literally only 2 models 😭
Whats next for the Silver Surfer…👀
X drive…😂
Sacrilege 😯
Brother In the intake pipe i also have little oil residue i thought thats normal but i also have pcv system stock
Lsd, suspension, brakes?

so what should be the best approach for B58 pcv ? put a new diagram and let the original piping or install a catch can ?

@@ST.G8x thank you so much for this information. I really appreciate it!
@@ST.G8xso the ross racing the v1 kit just cap and hose is not good enough? I am considering buying this kit. Which you think i need to buy?

why do that when you can just get an m240i
