hopefully they just didn't use them long enough to notice the drying out versus not talking about it 😖 I'll definitely give more updates on how long they last in the future too!
I actually have a set of these (the other 60 set) and quite like them. I have encountered the problem of them losing juice after using them too much, but I think that's an issue that can't really be fixed without completely redesigning the marker. There's a reason most paint markers have some sort of pump system to get more paint out. With how think paint is, it just can't easily get through the nib fast enough. I've even encountered this with ink markers before. Arrtx actually does have a line of pumpable markers with brush nibs (the simptap line, they put the pump on the back of the marker rather than in the nib) but it comes in a lot less colors I think that instead of using them for full pieces, they work a lot better in a mixed media setting. Especially since they dry matte. Blocking colors in with something else and going over top with these for rendering or just doing finishing touches I've found workes really well. I've had them for a number of months and have had no issues with longevity. Your art is also really cute! I'm unfamiliar with madoka but all of the art I see of it is always really pretty.
I have tried the simptap markers from them in the past and definitely think that they should've made these ones with at least SOME kind of pump system to not only help ink flow but also help mix the ink -- I don't know if you've noticed any separation in using your own set but I used mine to paint clay magnets the other day and noticed a couple lighter colors having a single pigmented streak 💀 not.. super hard to deal with since you can just rework the area with the nib and it helps blend. thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinions on this set!! it is good to hear that yours has also lasted as long as it has, fingers crossed I will have the same experience!!
I was considering it, but I already have acrylic inks, and heavy body acrylics that work fine for me. Your piece turned out lovely though! I love Madoka Magica.
