Teleportation occurs when the mobs can't find a somewhat straight path to you. If your pet disappears, resummon him instantly and it should still work.
You should have 2p t5 if you want to do the biggest pulls possible for the highest gold/hour. Croc pet is the best one if you dont have the t5. If you do have it, sometimes sporebat is better for the speed buff.

What pets do you recommend? Can I do it with the crocodile?
Crocodile is great but you need a dash/dive pet to do the method the video shows

It's mostly regen from the spirit bond talent. On rare occasions I need to eat.

Dive is a pet talent avaliable for only certain pets, like sporebat

All you need is two t5 pieces. If the rest of your gear is really bad you might have to use consumables
